I don’t generally post anything personal on here, as this is my work account. But this is my best boy Wheezy, who, if you’ve followed me for a while, you would have seen in various photos and videos over the years - and on many of my holiday cards (this photo was on one of them).
At 14.5 years old, he crossed the rainbow bridge this past Friday. We’re navigating this huge change in our lives, and I ask for your patience if it takes me longer to reply or get invoices to you, than it normally would. I’m doing my best, but I know I’ll need a little grace right now, and I hope that is okay.
Please give your babies (both fur and human) an extra hug for me today 🩷

The stills! took photos during pre-judging and while the beautiful was on the catwalk. I was backstage so it’s fantastic to see how everything looked from the audience!

My boy Wheezy is 14 now. I did not practice this piece, or even sketch anything. All I knew is that I wanted it to be me with him - but the him was more important than the me. I loved the idea of his head peeking over my shoulder, but I didn’t know how well the vision in my head and the feeling in my heart, would translate if the viewpoint was a tiny head over my shoulder - so I didn’t go into this competition thinking of an award, just that I wanted to pay tribute to my best boy. But I guess it came across well enough, as this Small Artistic entry placed 3rd - so thank you, judges 🩷

My uninflated entry this year was my pug Wheezy, in cross stitch form. Have I ever done cross stitch before? No!* Did I decide to make my own “fabric” and immediately realise this was going to take a lot longer than expected? Yes!
I’m so pleased with how it turned out, and very happy to have placed Second in the Uninflated category this year!
*I probably still haven’t done cross stitch; I used a crochet hook for this, haha

After winning both Top Twister Agility and Top Twister Artistic in 2024, one would think that a year off from competing might be had…but I couldn’t resist! I submitted 3 pieces, and placed in all 3 categories. More photos to follow!
