A beautiful view can set the tone, but it’s not what makes a destination wedding feel effortless.

It’s how your guests arrive, where they stay, what they eat, how the day flows, and whether the whole weekend feels considered from start to finish.

That’s the part couples don’t always think about at the beginning, because it’s easy to fall in love with the location first.

But when your guests are travelling for your wedding, the experience around the wedding matters just as much as the wedding itself.

This is why destination wedding planning needs more than a Pinterest board and a pretty venue. It needs structure, thoughtful logistics, and someone who can look at the full picture before the small details start piling up.

Neither is better. It depends on the kind of wedding weekend you want to create.

I’m so excited to be heading to Sardinia, Italy for a wedding conference hosted by EWPC 🇮🇹

I’m Karin Wu, founder of Karin Wu & Co., based in Canada, and I plan immersive, multi-day destination weddings for couples who want their wedding to feel like a full experience, not just a single day.

What’s really exciting for me about this is that I’m not just here to experience Sardinia, I’m also connecting with venues and suppliers from all over the world. That’s such a big part of how I’m able to plan these kinds of weddings for my clients.

Being here in person just hits differently. You get a real feel for the atmosphere, the setting, and what the experience could actually look like for a couple and their guests. And at the same time, you’re building relationships with the people behind it all, which makes everything so much more seamless when it comes to planning.

It’s one thing to see a destination online, but it’s completely different when you’re here, meeting the people and experiencing it for yourself. I’m really looking forward to everything I’ll be able to take from this and bring back to my clients 🧡

A confusing wedding budget can make every vendor quote feel off, even when it’s not 🤷🏻‍♀️💸

That’s why so many couples start second-guessing everything once they begin reaching out and getting real numbers back.

Not because they’re doing anything wrong, but because when your budget isn’t mapped out properly, every quote starts to feel heavier than it needs to.

For M&S, that meant egg waffles and bubble tea, which made this part of the night feel intentional and true to them.
