We started out with the idea of hosting just a single concert. We had the idea to singer, Johnny Reid, in Spruce Grove. We followed that with George Canyon in St. Albert, Prairie Oyster and Charlie Major back in Spruce Grove. All were learning experiences. We took what we learned and came back, rebranded and refocused. That's how we, have perfected the house concert. We continued to learn from ev

ery artist that has graced our stage. Evolution and adaptation are signs of growth and learning. It was discussion with a band that made us realize it was time to evolve. Though that discussion continues in various forms, we decided to push forward. We now book from a small roster of local artists and have the contacts to provide national and even international artists for your event with The Tavern House Concerts. Management Clients

PLAY MUSIC ON THE PORCH DAY!! This is a worldwide event that takes place in 70 countries, over 1000 cities. We are a registered location. This year we are playing canned music, taking requests AND we will have the washer boxes out for friendly games or practice. Gates open to all ... BYOB & BYOC!

George Canyon rose to becoming one of Canada’s hottest Country Music stars in the early 2000’s and has won countless accolades and awards, including Juno Awards, CCMA Awards, and ECMA Awards to name a few. He has been inducted into the Nova Scotia Country Music Hall of Fame, recorded 12 albums, and was recently presented a certified Platinum Award for his debut album ‘One Good Friend’. With country hits like Just Like You, I Believe in Angels, Drinkin’ Thinkin’, Daughters of the Sun, I Got This, I Want You To Live, Slow Dance and many, many more. He is also highly regarded humanitarian, strong supporter of the military, and, most important, a proud father and devoted husband.

Summer Sessions season finale... George Canyon, live in the Town of Stony Plain(Explore Stony Plain) on the Blueberry Stage in Heritage Park.

We first worked with George in September of 2007. It was a magical night in a sold out Arden Theatre in St. Albert. It was our second ever concert and it could not have been a better night. He played with the kids, some Star Wars with light sabres, welcomed us to his pre show prayer circle and put on a show that had everyone focused on nothing but the stage.

This Wednesday he will perform an acoustic solo songwriter style show and put Season 11 to bed. This like ALL SUMMER SESSIONS SHOWS IS A FREE EVENT!!

Gates open at 530pm...
Special Guest Robyn Ashley opens at 630pm...
George Canyon on stage 7pm rain or shine...
