PRAYER ALERT: RECORD-BREAKING COLD WEATHER

Oh loving Father, we pray for all those who are affected by the record-breaking cold that currently has its grip on much of the United States and Canada. (Chicago’s wind chill today? - 60 degrees.) Protect the elderly, the homeless, and the first responders; keep them warm and well fed. Shelter the wildlife and other stray animals. Ward off frostbite and prevent accidents and loss of heat and power. Wrap us all in your warm embrace and remind us that You are the sun and the shield and that with Your never ending grace and glory, brighter days are ahead. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
