📣JUNIOR LEAGUE STARTS JANUARY 3RD, 10:00AM - 12:00PM📣
Registrations start at 9:30am.

The junior curling league is FREE and open to kids of all ages. Bring a pair of clean running shoes, a helmet, and a warm sweater or jacket. All other equipment is provided. There must be a parental figure who will be present during the course.

The courses run from January to March: January 3th, 10th, February 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th, 14th, 21st, 28th.

**Practice on March 7th is cancelled

La ligue junior de curling est GRATUITE et ouverte aux enfants de tous âges. Apportez une paire de chaussures de course propres, un casque et un chandail ou une veste chaude. Tout le reste de l'équipement est fourni. Un parent ou un tuteur doit être présent pendant le cours.

Les cours ont lieu de janvier à mars : les 3 et 10 janvier, les 7, 14, 21 et 28 février, ainsi que les 14, 21 et 28 mars.

** La pratique du 7 mars est annulée.

Canusa 2026 will be here before you know it! Here's how the event came to be, many years ago.

The Border Curling Club was formed in 1955 with the support of Butterfield Company, a division of UTD, for the benefit of employees and local residents. One of these, an avid curler, became president of UTD in Athol, MA. He founded Petersham Curling Club in 1960. The two clubs became known as “sister clubs”.
The Canusa bonspiel started out as an interclub tournament between the two clubs. As years went by, more clubs from both Canada and the US participated.
In the 1980’s as many as 20 teams competed, and the format had changed to include a separate theme each year and mixed gender on each team. Participants dressed in costumes that reflected the current theme for the Saturday evening dinner and dance. Canusa became the flagship tournament for the Border Curling Club and has continued successfully to this day.

This year the skip and 3rd must be of a different gender and the theme is “Murder & Mysteries. 🕵🏻🎩🪕🧩
