We host Birthday Parties, Kids Camps, Meeting Spaces and Special Events. Jelly Bean Entertainment was founded in 2008 by Troy, who began by crafting feeders for reptiles, his lifelong passion. As his love for animals grew, so did his desire to share it with others, leading to the creation of captivating reptile shows. In 2014, Troy expanded into children's entertainment with a mobile setup, adding bouncy castles to his repertoire and eventually branching out into balloons, concession equipment, and even bringing Nerf parties to the province. Over time, Jelly Bean Entertainment offered many fun services, including face painting, balloon twisting, flamingo setups, and mascot character visits — but as the business evolved, these services were phased out to make room for new, exciting offerings. In 2020, Jelly Bean Entertainment became complete with the addition of Heather, Troy’s life and business partner, who brought her background in Early Childhood Education to the table. Their partnership proved to be the perfect pairing, blending passion and expertise. Over the years, they expanded their services to include Glow Parties, Movie Parties, Sleepover Tents, and more. In 2024, they took a leap of faith and opened a new space at The Village Shopping Centre, where they began offering Camp Jelly Bean — a fun and engaging camp experience for children. The new location also allowed them to host a variety of events, including birthday parties, bachelorette and baby showers, and other small gatherings, continuing to bring joy and excitement to families across the province.

We will not stand quietly by while our name is dragged through the dirt by another business.

For the second time, another business has used the guise of anonymity to make personal attacks, misrepresent our actions and attempt to damage Jelly Bean Entertainment’s reputation. See below for the post they commented on and the response from us.

We have spent 17 years building this business through hard work, accountability and the trust of local families. We are proud of what we have created, and we stand behind every decision we make, including advocating for appropriate insurance, clear standards and stronger protections wherever children are involved.

We will never build our business by anonymously attacking another company. We will never try to tear someone else down to get ahead. If we have something to say, we will put our name behind it and stand by it.

Healthy competition makes businesses better. Anonymous personal attacks do not.

We are tired of standing idly by while other businesses benefit from the platforms and audiences we have built, only to hide behind anonymous names and attack us from the sidelines.

We will continue operating openly, professionally and with the best interests of children and families at the centre of what we do. We welcome honest questions, respectful disagreement and fair competition, but we will no longer remain silent when our business and reputation are deliberately misrepresented.

Our name is on everything we do, and we stand behind it.

You may have received a newsletter from us that indicates that a photo booth is included in our party room, this was in error. However a photo booth is included in most of our public events like Breakfast With The Grinch and Mickey & Minnie's Christmas Party! :)

We’re Hiring for Fall/ Winter 2026

Jelly Bean Entertainment is looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking team members to join us for our busy Fall and Winter season.

We are hiring for :
Weekday Event Staff (Mobile Entertainers, Party Room Hosts, and PD Day Camp Staff)
Weekday Mobile Delivery and Setup Staff (Bouncy Castles, Concession Equipment, Photo Booth)
Seasonal Photo Staff (Santa and Easter Bunny Photos, weekday and weekend availability required)

If you enjoy working with children and families, have a positive attitude, and are looking for a fun and active job, we would love to hear from you.

We’re looking for team members who are:
Friendly, outgoing, and dependable
Comfortable working with children and the public
Ability to work flexible hours
Professional, energetic, and team-oriented
Ready to work in a fast-paced environment

Requirements include:
Weekday and Evening availability
Valid driver’s license & clean driver’s abstract
Experience working with children is an asset
Clear conduct certificate
Vulnerable sector check
Good physical condition for setup and delivery positions
Willingness to complete in-house training

We offer a fun and fast-paced work environment with opportunities to be involved in a wide range of parties, camps, rentals, and special events throughout the Fall and Winter.

When it comes to children’s camps, standards shouldn’t be optional.

With growing discussion across Newfoundland and Labrador about regulating children’s camps, we want to be clear: Jelly Bean Entertainment fully supports it.

Parents deserve to know who is caring for their children, what safety practices are being followed, and what standards every camp is expected to meet.

At Camp Jelly Bean:

✓ Our Camp Director is a certified Early Childhood Educator
✓ Activities are carefully planned, reviewed and improved
✓ Our dedicated camp space was designed with safety, comfort and fun in mind
✓ We carefully review and follow relevant guidance and best-practice literature from across Canada
✓ We also review the legislation and requirements governing regulated child care in Newfoundland and Labrador, using them as a baseline even where they do not directly apply to children’s camps

And for us, that is only the starting point. The standards we set for ourselves go much further.

We welcome clear, consistent standards, not only so families can make informed choices, but so we can see where we’re meeting expectations and where we already exceed them.

We’ve never treated camp as simply a place to keep children occupied. We’re constantly planning, learning and making improvements to create the safest, most engaging and most enjoyable experience possible.

Because when parents trust you with their children, “good enough” should never be good enough.

There’s a difference between a space that hosts kids’ parties and a space built specifically for them.

Jelly Bean was designed from the beginning with both kids and parents in mind. Our entertainment, games, private venue, parent lounge, free coffee, dedicated staff, setup assistance, food service and complete cleanup aren’t upgrades - they’re the foundation of every party we offer.

We’re proud to see many of the ideas we introduced becoming more common. It confirms what we’ve always believed: families want more than an empty room and a few activities.

Others may offer similar features, but the complete Jelly Bean experience comes from years of listening, improving and creating a space where every detail works together.

Our standard has become the inspiration, but the original is still Jelly Bean.
