Caught in full bloom. 🌸📰✨

Built from dirt under my nails, early mornings, muddy boots, long days, big dreams, and a whole lot of heart. What started in 2023 as a love for flowers has grown into something so much bigger than I ever imagined.

KRISTA’S BLOOMS & BLOSSOMS has become more than blooms — it’s flower farming, creativity, connection, grit, growth, and learning to trust the process through every season. From spring ranunculus and peonies to summer dahlias, zinnias, cosmos, strawflower, scabiosa, tweedia, nigella and all the beautiful chaos in between… every stem tells part of the story. 🌿

This little “Bloom Bar” newspaper was such a fun way to bring my world to life — messy, beautiful, heartfelt, and blooming anyway. 💋

Thank you for supporting my dream, cheering me on, and growing with me since 2023. The best is still ahead. 🤍

Hi, I’m Krista — the one behind Krista’s Blooms & Blossoms 🌸

I’m a wife, mom of 2, flower grower, florist, and lover of all things beautiful and blooming. I also love to get my hands dirty.🌱

We live in Ste. Agathe, Manitoba, where the winters are cold, the summers are short, and the love for growing things runs deep.

Before flowers, I spent my life working in social services — volunteering, working with charities, and for the last 8 years as a case manager. Helping others has always been part of who I am. Recently, I made the leap to focus on my flower business full time in search of more balance, creativity, and honestly… a regulated nervous system 😅

Not gonna lie, some days I struggle to keep everything watered and fed — including myself, my kids, our dog, and my hubby 😂 You’ll also probably catch me outside at 11 pm wearing a headlamp, talking to flowers like they’re coworkers and saying “just one more thing” before bed.

One of the best parts of this journey has been the flower community. The kindness, support, and connections flowers (especially dahlias 🌸) create is something truly special, and I’m so thankful for every person I’ve met along the way.

This season you’ll find me creating florals for weddings and events, stocking the bloom bar, bringing my “Caught in Full Bloom” vision to life, and popping up at local farmers markets ✨

Whether you’re here for flower tips, to grow alongside me, or simply to admire the blooms — thank you for being here. I’m so happy you found my little corner of the internet 🤍

Let’s keep growing (and blooming) together 🌱🌸✨

Pinching snapdragons ✂️🌱

If you want fuller plants, longer stems, and more blooms—pinching is a must.

✨ Why pinch?
Pinching encourages your snapdragons to branch out instead of growing one single stem. More branches = more flowers to cut all season long.

✨ Bonus: don’t waste the pinch!
That little top you remove? You can turn it into a whole new plant by rooting it.

Here’s how I do it 👇
• Prep a tray ahead of time with a fine to medium soil mix (not too coarse)
• Pre-moisten the soil so it’s evenly damp—not soaking
• Dip the cut end of your snapdragon pinch in rooting hormone
• Gently tuck it into the soil and firm it in place

Once your tray is full:
• Place it under grow lights
• Add a humidity dome to lock in moisture
• Mist or lightly water as needed

💡 Keep in mind:
You don’t want the soil overly wet. Slightly less moisture actually encourages the cuttings to “search” for water—helping roots develop stronger and faster.

⏳ In a couple of weeks, you should start to see roots forming and new growth taking off.

Pinch once… and multiply your plants 🌸
