INTRODUCING // Darren Hollett // From Houseboating Brews to Craft Beer Boss!

Darren Hollett’s journey in beer started at just 16, when he first dabbled in homebrewing—not for the love of craft (yet), but for the practicality of having cheap beer for houseboating trips. What began as a means to an end quickly became an obsession, leading him to compete in local competitions and rack up awards.
With 15 years in the beer industry, Darren has worn just about every hat—from sales to brewing to marketing and operations. His career started in sales with Whistler Brewing / NorthAm Beverages, but he soon dove deeper into the industry, working with notable names like:

🍻 Mission Springs Brewery – Sales Rep & Brewer
🍻 Hearthstone Brewing – Operations Manager, Sales, Marketing & Brewer
🍻 BeerThirst – Sales Manager, curating top-tier beer portfolios
🍻 Taylight Brewing – Head Brewer & Sales
🍻 House of Funk – Owner/Operator

Now, as the Co-Owner of House of Lager, Darren is bringing his expertise to the world of crisp, clean lagers. He’ll be leading the charge on Product & Brand, ensuring every sip is crafted with intention.
From backyard experiments to brewery ownership, Darren’s passion for beer has shaped his career—and he’s just getting started.

Today, we’re not only celebrating women worldwide but also one of the strongest pillars of our team, Kalli! 🌟

Kalli, originally from Fraser Valley’s Nicomen Island, brings a wealth of experience to House of Lager, from her years in the ski resort and outdoor adventure industries to her extensive background in hospitality. Having worked at CRAFT Beer Market for 5 years, Kalli rose through the ranks to become General Manager. Her knack for event coordination is unmatched — whether it’s a wedding, corporate function, or a large community gathering, Kalli always brings her A-game.
We’re beyond lucky to have Kalli on our team. Her talent and passion make her an integral part of House of Lager, and we can’t wait to continue growing with her!
