Wedding planning, but from this side of the camera. 🤍

It’s pretty tables and beautiful details, yes.

It’s also unloading vehicles, hauling bins, fixing things no one knew were wrong, answering 400 questions, finding the missing item that was definitely “just here,” keeping the timeline moving, and walking approximately 47 kilometres before dinner.

And sometimes it’s losing your sunglasses for 40 minutes and becoming increasingly convinced they have simply ceased to exist.

They had not.
I found them.
Eventually. 😂

The finished product is beautiful.

Getting it there? Slightly less glamorous.

5 weddings left in our 2026 season, and while my feet are ready for a break, I’m not quite ready for it to be over yet.

Turns out I really, really love this job. 🤍

There’s a kind of trust that gets built before the wedding day ever arrives.

By the time we get here, I know the plans.
I know the people.
I know what matters to you.

But I’ve also gotten to know you.

So yes, I’m there to fix the dress, keep things moving and make sure everything we planned actually happens.

But I’m also there for the deep breath before you walk down the aisle.
The quick “am I okay?” glance across the room.
The little moments when you need reassurance, a laugh, or just someone familiar beside you.

Because hiring the right planner or coordinator isn’t only about trusting someone with your wedding.

It’s trusting someone with you, too.

And I think that might be my favourite part of the job. ♥️

“I don’t want to spend thousands of dollars on chairs.”

Fair. I don’t necessarily want you to either.

But here’s the thing about chairs.
When you have 100+ of something in a room, they become part of the design whether you intended them to or not.

These chairs aren’t just somewhere for guests to sit. The black frame, warm cane and shape are part of what makes this entire tablescape work.

Would this table still be beautiful with a standard venue chair? Absolutely.

Would it look the same? Not even close.

That doesn’t mean upgraded chairs are always worth the investment. It means we look at the whole room and decide where your budget will make the biggest impact.

Sometimes it’s the chairs.

Sometimes I’d rather spend your money somewhere else.

That’s the difference between buying decor and designing a wedding.

A little glimpse of what “wedding day management” actually looks like.

Checking. Adjusting. Moving. Fixing. Watching. Making sure all the pieces you spent months choosing actually come together the way they were supposed to.

And yes, that includes: Delivering tums and bugs spray to the wedding party, making sure there are fans when you need them, and delivering the veil and florals too. 😂

Because you shouldn’t be the one doing any of this on your wedding day.

You should be at your wedding.

(And when the Bride’s amazing Grandmother tells you to have a snack, you listen! lol)

There are hundreds of little decisions that happen on a wedding day.

Who tells the caterer it’s time to plate?
Who fixes the timeline when hair runs late?
Who answers the vendor questions?
Who finds the missing boutonnière?
Who keeps family members informed so the couple doesn’t have to?

Not the bride.
That’s the point.

Price matters.
But it shouldn’t be the first thing you compare.

I’ve worked with incredible vendors at all kinds of price points. I’ve also seen expensive vendors who weren’t worth the investment.
The difference isn’t the number on the invoice.
It’s the experience, communication, systems, professionalism, and ability to deliver when it actually counts.

Shop for value.
Shop for talent.

Shop for the experience you want to have on your wedding day.
Then decide if the investment makes sense for you.

Because the cheapest vendor isn’t automatically the wrong choice.
But choosing someone because they’re the cheapest rarely ends the way couples hope.

Hot take:

The prettiest Instagram feed doesn’t always make the best wedding vendor.

The best vendors are the ones who answer emails, solve problems, support the team, and genuinely care about the couple.

That’s why planners have preferred vendors.

Not because they’re popular.
Not because they have the biggest following.
And certainly not because of kickbacks.

Because we’ve worked beside them.

The best wedding days happen when the vendor team genuinely enjoys working together. When there’s trust, communication, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to the same goal, everything runs smoother.

That’s why I’m so protective of who I recommend.
