It's about time we re-introduced ourselves around here, right? Hi, we're the De Koster's - John and Lauren!
We are the owners and operators of this beautiful property and throughout your experience with Wheatfield, you will meet both of us!
Meet John - he's the friendly face you meet at your site tour. He walks you through the property cracking dad jokes, raving about all of our favourite vendors, and answering all of your questions along the way.
Meet Lauren - she is the one that hides behind the keyboard, doing all the admin. She answers all of your inquiries, questions, posts to social media, updates and designs the website and marketing materials, and handles the bookings, creates your floor plans, prepares invoices, etc.
Leading up to the wedding day, we are both very involved in preparing the property. John manages the property for the most part, but Lauren loves to cut the grass! So you will often find Lauren on the tractor or pushing the lawn mower and John will be whizing about the property pulling weeds, mulching, picking up fallen sticks, building things, setting up tables, etc.
On the Wedding Day, it's often John that you will see. He loves to interact with the couples, their families, help with parking, and chat with the vendors (He's the social butterfly)
Lauren is often off-site at her own weddings via but if she is onsite, she will pop out periodically and offer a hand when needed (she's the cat in this duo 😂).
When there is a Planner onsite, we like to respect their process and will pop out to see if there is anything we can help with, if they need it - but as a Wedding Planner myself (Lauren), we usually try not to step on toes!
