In April 2016 I Andrew Twigg made some big changes in my life. The biggest change was quitting a high stress sales job. The motivation behind this change was to start my dream business “Cruising Canoes”.
Cruising Canoes started out with Backcountry canoe trips to Algonquin Park. This is the heart of the business. Nothing gave me more joy then seeing people come and accomplish an epic journey with me. Knowing most people didn't have their own gear I made them all in inclusive so people didn't have to go and spend $1000’s of dollars in gear to attend. Since then I have taken people from all over the world on our adventures.
Now with all this free time on my hands I had to do more and try new things. I had a friend say to me why not do a paddle and a drink type thing. Great idea! So the “Pint and Paddle” was created. This introduced me to a whole new audience of people. Then these people fell in love with paddling and started coming on Backcountry canoe trips.
Since this has happened I have tried more things. Wine tour Adventure tours. Creating a full day of adventure with amazing food and drinks. People loved it again! Even just going for a wine tour was amazing.
