Pete and I just want to wish every cast member and member of the crew and backstage team an incredible closing day. What a pleasure to see you bring our work to life. Special shout out to the parents who drove, volunteered time or ensured the actors got to rehearsals and performances. A HUGE thank you to director Lynda Daniluk for setting a tone of love and inclusion and building a theatre family. Thanks to Anne-Marie Doyon for helping with direction and Taylor Gilligan for assisting (and set changes). To the amazing band led by Wena Pearl with Tamara dos Santos Oliveira on sax, Gary Roberts on Drums and Kristina Skeries on Bass for bringing the music to life. Thanks to the vocal coaches Bev McArthur, Wena Pearl, and Tamara dos Santos for helping the actors find the best way to sing some challenging material. Thanks to Taylor Gilligan for Stage managing. Hats off to Tammy Martin-Binham, Connal Hunter and Gabriel Severe for working backstage to help with costumes and props. Thanks to Bill Hamilton and Lynda Daniluk and Tony McNeill for the clever and effective set design, and Linda Pipher and Taylor Gilligan for painting it all. To Anne-Marie Doyon for detailed costume designs that fit not one but two casts as well as numerous props and costumes including a Kiss The Giant Apron and a pretty red bag. Thanks to Phoenix Ryan, Bella Flinn and Sherry Flinn for doing hair and make-up which helped tell the story, particularly with characters like The Giant, and Winter and the Icicles and Bird and Flower. Thanks to Duncan Hunter, Connal Hunter, Daniel Kelly and Matt Connell for creating sound and lighting effects. Thanks to Kristi Donovan and Anne-Marie Doyon for chaperoning. Huge thanks to producer and photographer Kathy Botham and to Katharine Coleman and Kathryn McKeigan for the program and publicity. And thanks to Alyscha Morrison for those amazing kick lines and moves during dance sequences. But most of all, thanks to the cast who opened their hearts and told a story in song, dance and scenes. I hope that for a long time to come you remember the joy of achieving something big ... getting up on a stage in front of people and helping others leave their troubles behind for a few hours so they could find a place where there are laughs, tears and hopefully a little bit of joyful, merry, mirthful glee. Have a FANTASTIC closing performance.
