🤠 RODEO 101 – SADDLE BRONC RIDING & NOVICE SADDLE BRONC 🐎

Did you know Saddle Bronc Riding is often called the “classic event of rodeo”? It all began with ranch hands breaking wild horses on the cattle ranches of the Canadian and American West. Today, it’s one of the most skilled and respected events in rodeo.

A cowboy has just 8 seconds to stay aboard a powerful bucking bronc, using only one hand on a thick rein attached to the horse’s halter. It takes incredible strength, balance, timing, and technique to match every buck and earn a high score.

To score well, riders must stay in rhythm with the horse while making smooth, controlled movements. They also have to follow the “mark out” rule—both spurs must be above the horse’s shoulders until its front feet hit the ground on the first jump. Miss it, or touch the horse, equipment, or themselves with their free hand during the ride, and it’s an automatic disqualification.

🤠 Rodeo 101: RESCUE RACE 🤠

RESCUE RACE
The Rescue Race was designed to show the skills of the soldiers that were in the field needing to be evacuated from the war zone in the early days. RAM and CASE IH will feature this event at rodeos as an event. At the rodeo this is a timed event with a Rider racing down picking up a Passenger as the horse circles the barrel and then racing to the finish line . It is called the RESCUE RACE. The Rescue Race is open to both Adult and Youth Contestants.

🐎 Think you’ve got a favourite team? Come cheer on these incredible gals and guys as they race against the clock to see who will come out on top!
