Bevs Saraza – Unbreakable: The Review
May 16 was the night Bevs Saraza officially stepped into full stardom — and for her very first solo concert, she absolutely delivered.
We arrived early enough to witness what was happening behind the scenes, and right away, it didn’t feel like just another concert. It felt like an entire Filipino community coming together to support one of their own. You could see the love, passion, and hard work from everyone involved. I heard the audio-visual team was already there the night before, making sure everything would look and sound perfect. Roc S Siga-an and company, ang galiiing nyooo!
From the front acts, backup singers, dancers, and live band — everyone gave their all to make it an unforgettable night of music. Congratulations!!!
Speaking of front acts, can we just take a moment and dedicate these lines to Stuart Black (OKC 2nd Place Winner), Dennis Obaob (OKC Semis Winner), and the duo of Raizzon-Sarah Idos (Just Duet Champions)? You all held your own among a roster of fresh new talents, and we are beyond proud of you! Our KML mama hearts were swelling with pride watching you shine on that stage.
A special shoutout also goes to Direk Ryan Orlanda and producer Fred Oreal, without whom none of this would have been possible. In a cutthroat industry where many are simply trying to survive, you chose to believe in talented artists without any guarantee of lucrative returns. That kind of faith, passion, and support is what makes this community and industry stand out from the rest. Bless your hearts — and may even more blessings come your way because you truly deserve them.
And then there’s Bevs Saraza herself — the girl from Iloilo with the golden voice.
Of course, a show like this is never a one-woman production. It takes an army of people working behind the scenes to make something this special happen. But knowing the story leading up to the concert — the pressure, the struggles, the people who made her feel like she owed them something, and the bullying she quietly endured — made the night even more meaningful.
Despite everything, Bevs worked incredibly hard to make everyone happy and to give people a show they would never forget. It was blood, sweat, tears, and pure determination all rolled into one. And that’s exactly why so many people rallied behind her. Our KML family, bless them all, even those who couldn’t make it because of conflicts in their schedules. We came in full support, but we were definitely not alone. Because at the end of the day, people recognize genuine hard work and heart.
And Bevs earned every bit of that spotlight.
From start to finish, the performance was phenomenal. She flawlessly delivered powerhouse hits from Celine Dion, Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, and more, proving she can truly hold her own on any stage. Beyond the vocals, what made the night even more special was hearing her story — especially her journey as a single mom before meeting Franz. It was heartfelt, emotional, and inspiring.
Knowing parts of her journey made the moment even deeper. There was a time when her son got sick, and instead of compassion, someone actually used their situation to promote their own show and sell tickets. Such a disappointing and insensitive thing to do. But through it all, Bevs stayed graceful and kept moving forward.
And then came the perfect ending.
Franz’s proposal was truly the icing on the cake — a beautiful, heartfelt moment that wrapped up an already unforgettable evening. A night filled with music, love, resilience, and victory. We were soo kiliigg! 💞
