What changes when a team stops running on autopilot and starts working with intention? ✨

It’s not just about getting more done. It’s about creating a workplace where people understand what matters, communicate more clearly, respect boundaries, and have the space to do their best work without constantly running on empty.

Imagine hearing things like:

💬 “Our priorities are clearer, and we’re finally spending time on what actually moves us forward.”

💬 “I’m learning that setting boundaries doesn’t make me a less committed leader. It makes me a more intentional one.”

💬 “Our team conversations feel different. We’re listening better, communicating more openly, and working toward the same goals.”

💬 “I’m leading with more clarity instead of reacting to everything that lands on my desk.”

💬 “We’re not just talking about work-life balance anymore. We’re making more intentional decisions about how we work.”

That’s the kind of shift the J.O.Y. Lab™ Corporate Experience is designed to support: helping teams reconnect with what matters, strengthen the way they work together, and build systems that support both meaningful results and the people behind them.

Because a thriving workplace isn’t built on productivity alone. It’s built when people have the clarity, structure, and support to do their work well and live well beyond it.

Ready to explore what a more intentional way of working could look like for your team?

Let’s talk about bringing the J.O.Y. Lab™ Corporate Experience to your organization!

Sometimes, life sends a lightning bolt that changes everything.

For me, that moment came on October 17, 2012, when I learned that my daughter, Cassidy, had Cystic Fibrosis (CF).

At the time, I was already exhausted from carrying the responsibilities of being a business owner, event planner, and mother of two. I was trying to do it all on my own, managing the invisible work of running a household while keeping my business going. Then came Cassidy’s diagnosis, bringing a whole new level of physical, mental, and emotional weight that I could never have prepared for.

It was overwhelming. My health, my business, my sanity, and even my sense of identity were being stretched in ways I had never experienced before.

I knew something had to change. There had to be a better way.

Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic condition that affects the respiratory and digestive systems. For Cassidy, it meant daily treatments, medications, and challenges that became part of our family’s everyday life. It was not a journey we would have chosen, but it became one we learned to navigate together, holding on to hope for better treatments and, one day, a cure.

A few months after her diagnosis, Cassidy asked if she could start a lemonade stand to raise money for a cure. That simple request became the beginning of Cassidy’s Lemonade Stand, which has since raised over $100,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Canada’s research and advocacy.

Looking back, I know that diagnosis changed our lives forever. It introduced challenges we never expected, but it also showed us the incredible power of community, compassion, and hope.

October always brings back all of those feelings from 14 years ago even though we have come so far.

We’re really good at achieving. But are we just as good at celebrating?

So many ambitious women reach the goal, check the box, and immediately move on to the next thing.

But constantly chasing what’s next can make us forget to acknowledge how far we’ve come and why we’re doing it all in the first place.

In my latest blog, I’m sharing why ambitious women struggle to pause, what that habit can cost us, and simple ways to celebrate intentionally (big wins and even the small ones)

Because celebration isn’t indulgence. It’s part of sustainable success.

💡 Read the blog to understand why celebration matters more than you might think, discover practical ways to make it part of your everyday life, and start recognizing the wins you might otherwise rush past.

Thanksgiving always makes me want to pause.

Not the “make a list of everything you should be grateful for” kind of pause.

A real one.

The kind where you look around at your life and think, “Wow. Look at all of this.” 🧡

This year, I’m especially grateful for the people who have walked alongside me in business, in life, in the messy middle, and in the moments worth celebrating.

For my daughters and boyfriend and the adventures we get to share.
For clients who trust me with their ideas and allow me to be part of bringing them to life.
For friendships that have grown and changed with me.
For the conversations that have shifted something inside me.
For the opportunities I never could have planned for.

And honestly? I’m grateful for the moments that didn’t go according to plan, too.

Because sometimes those are the moments that teach us the most about what actually matters.

I’ve been thinking a lot about intentional living lately.

Not creating some perfectly curated life where everything goes right but learning to notice the life that’s already happening.

The people around the table.
The stories we’re still telling years later.
The little victories.
The big adventures.
The ordinary Tuesday moments that we’ll someday wish we could have back.

That’s the good stuff.

So today, I’m not rushing past it.

I’m celebrating it.
I’m appreciating it.
I’m soaking it in.

And yes… I’m absolutely going back for seconds. 😉

Happy Thanksgiving, friends!

I hope today gives you a reason to slow down, look around, and recognize just how much there is to be grateful for.

And if you’re reading this from wherever you are in your own season of life, what’s something you’re deeply grateful for right now?

I’d genuinely love to hear it. 🍂

Maybe we need to redefine what celebration actually looks like 🍂

Because for so many ambitious women, celebration comes with a condition:

I’ll celebrate when the launch is done.
When the goal is reached.
When the business is where I want it to be.
When I finally have everything figured out.

But what if we stopped waiting for the finish line?

You’re allowed to celebrate even before it’s all done.

That moment on stage? I could have been thinking about the next thing on my list, the things that still needed to happen, or what could have gone better.

Instead, I smiled.

I let myself be in the moment.

And that, too, is part of building a meaningful life.

The habit of constantly moving the goalpost can quietly drain us. We accomplish something, immediately look toward what’s next, and forget to acknowledge the person who got us here.

So this October, I’m choosing joy on purpose.

Not because everything is perfect.
Not because there’s nothing left to do.
But because there is already something worth celebrating.

Maybe there is for you, too ✨

What’s something you’re giving yourself permission to celebrate before it’s all done?

And if your team, organization, or event needs a reminder that purpose, joy, and meaningful work can exist together, I’d love to bring this conversation to your stage.

We’re often so busy thinking about what’s next that we forget to celebrate what’s happening right now ✨

The goal you finally reached.
The conversation that reminded you why you started.
The client who said yes.
The quiet morning you actually got to enjoy.
The hard season you made it through.

It all counts!

That’s why I love this reminder from Oprah Winfrey.

Celebration isn’t about pretending everything is perfect. It’s about recognizing the good that exists alongside the messy, the uncertain, and the still-in-progress.

Because when we pause long enough to acknowledge what’s working, what we’ve created, and how far we’ve come, we create space for even more of that goodness.

So, what are you celebrating lately?

It doesn’t have to be a big thing. In fact, sometimes the little things are the ones worth celebrating most.

Take a moment today. Notice it. Name it. Celebrate it.

Your life is happening now, not someday when everything is finally “done.” ✨

I’ve been thinking a lot about celebration lately.

Not the big, champagne-popping, look what I accomplished kind of celebration (although… I’m certainly not opposed to that 😉🥂).

I mean the quieter kind.

The kind where you look around and realize, “Wow. I actually really love this life.”

Spending this time in Europe with my daughter has been one of those moments for me 🤍

Walking around beautiful places, eating way too much good food, laughing about the little things, getting lost, figuring things out as we go… and just being together.

There were definitely moments where I caught myself thinking, How lucky am I that I get to experience this with her?

And I think that’s a form of celebrating yourself, too.

Celebrating the choices that got you here.
Celebrating the work you’ve put in.
Celebrating the courage it took to say yes to something different.
Celebrating the relationships you’ve nurtured along the way.

We’re so quick to celebrate the promotion, the launch, the sale, the milestone.

But sometimes the real celebration is sitting across from someone you love in a little European café and realizing this is the stuff I was working so hard for 🥐☕️🤍

So here’s your little reminder from me:

You don’t have to accomplish something new to deserve a moment of celebration.

You are allowed to celebrate you.

Your growth.
Your journey.
Your relationships.
Your life.

And maybe, just maybe, we should all get a little better at noticing how much there already is to celebrate. ✨

Now excuse me while I go look through approximately 1000+ photos from this trip 😂📸

What’s something about your life you’re celebrating lately?

What if the answer isn’t to work harder, try another productivity system, or squeeze more into an already-full day?

What if it’s time to redesign the way you’re doing things? ✨

That’s the heart of the J.O.Y. Lab™!

It’s a space to step out of the constant doing, get honest about what’s working (and what isn’t), and create the clarity and structure to move forward with more intention.

And because everyone’s season is different, there isn’t just one way to experience it.

✨Choose VIP Day when you need focused time and space to reset.

✨ Pick Signature Experience when you’re ready to go deeper and redesign how you work and live.

✨ Go for Corporate Experience when you want to bring these conversations into your team and create a more intentional way of working together.

At the centre of all three is the same journey:

Awareness → Clarity → Structure → JOY

Because your calendar, your systems, your boundaries, and even the way you spend your energy are shaping your life every day.

So if something has been feeling off, don’t automatically assume you need to push harder.

Maybe you need to pause.
Maybe you need to get clear.
Maybe you need to redesign.

There’s a way in for you. ✨

Whether that’s one focused day, a deeper six-week experience, or bringing J.O.Y. Lab™ into your organization, you don’t have to figure out the next step alone.

💬 Send me a DM and let’s find the experience that fits where you are right now.

And save this post for when you’re ready to stop doing it the hard way.

October, you have my attention! 🍂✨

And perhaps spending the last week of September wandering through Europe, soaking up Paris, and saying “just one more little café” approximately 47 times has something to do with it 🥐☕️

There’s just something about being somewhere new that makes you slow down and notice things differently.

The little streets. The long lunches. The beautiful architecture. The conversations. The people watching. The “pinch me, I’m actually here” moments.

And somewhere between the croissants and cobblestone streets, I found myself reflecting on this year so far.

There has been so much.

Big ideas. Unexpected turns. Beautiful conversations. A few “well… that definitely wasn’t in the plan” moments. And so many reminders that life isn’t meant to be perfectly mapped out.

So I’m entering October with a little less “What do I need to accomplish?” and a little more:

“How do I want to experience this season?”

More joy.
More presence.
More celebrating the things that are already working.
More meaningful experiences.
More saying yes to the things that make me feel alive.

And, naturally, more good food. Because apparently that’s part of my personal growth plan. 😉🥂

This trip reminded me that sometimes we don’t need another goal.

Sometimes we need to look up from the to-do list and actually notice the life we’re creating.

We don’t have to wait until January to reset.
We don’t have to wait until everything is finished to celebrate.
And we certainly don’t have to wait for the “perfect” season to start living with intention.

We can choose again right now.

So, hello October. 🍂

I’m choosing joy on purpose.

What are you choosing more of this month?

Tell me in the comments! I’d love to know what you’re bringing into this next season. 🤍
