This event is special to me. To be clear, all of our events and weddings truly are, but on a personal level, this one speaks to me.
Fulfilling my dream of becoming an event planner grew in part from the sorrow of losing my late husband to cancer. From this loss I realized that life was short and I wanted to create a life that I loved. My dream was to own an event planning company, to one day be happily married again, and to have two children: a boy and a girl. Here I am world, these dreams have been fulfilled.
Planning the Cameco Touchdown for Dreams event fills my soul. My job is to create a beautiful and meaningful evening for women facing a life-threatening cancer diagnosis, which is anyone’s worst fear. These women deserve a night of beauty and awe—an opportunity to experience something magical and uplifting while facing undeniable challenges.
I often comment that being an event planner isn’t hard, saying “it’s not rocket science” or “We aren’t saving lives” and we certainly aren’t. What we are doing is creating beauty, connection and experiences for people. For this event in particular I am incredibly proud of that and equally grateful for the opportunity.

Everything about this day was dreamy. The flowers, draping and lighting oozed romance and Taisa and Liam’s love for each other shone through with their personal vows and conplete smiles for each other. Congratulations to a truly stunning couple, it was a pleasure to create with you 🖤

It was a distinguished honour to create a Bridgerton-inspired affair in celebration of the remarkable women chosen as this year’s Cameco Riders Touchdown for Dreams recipients. In partnership with Cameco, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, and the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, this noble program grants heartfelt wishes to women courageously facing life-threatening cancer diagnoses. To have played a humble role in such an evening of grace, strength, and dreams fulfilled was nothing short of enchanting.
