Lessons Learned in 2025…
Some were new. Some were carried forward this year to improve from previous years. Some are still a work in progress.
We’re about to be bombarded with highlight reels - which I personally love to watch (and share) - but it’s okay if this year didn’t have as many as you’d hoped.
I don’t like the phrase “everything happens for a reason.” I refuse to believe that - but I do believe we can learn through the hard moments.
Whether it’s learning to take care of ourselves when we need it, learning what we will or won’t tolerate, or learning how to stand tall when it feels like things are crumbling around us - I always try and find a lesson in the hard times and pain.
My word of the year for 2025 was Stability. While many moments felt like anything but, I know I made strides towards embodying that word in many areas. There’s always room to grow - and I’m excited to pick a word for next year.
What’s a lesson on this carousel you resonated with? What’s one you learned that I didn’t list?
Biggest reminder for me in 2025 was that kindness and empathy can change a person’s life around you. We never know what people are dealing with in the background.
Here’s to a wonderful holiday week with the things and people that fill you with happiness…and if this holiday season won’t be very merry for you - know you’re loved and you matter.
