Two years ago I was homeless.

Today I spent my Tuesday on a private beach with my boys.

The crazy part? It didn’t happen because I got lucky. It happened because I started choosing joy, one small step at a time.

I’ve had so many people ask me how I rebuilt my life and business.

It’s my birthday month, and if I’m being honest, this is exactly the kind of food I want to eat.

A big platter of chicken wings, a cold drink, people I love, and absolutely nowhere I need to be.

Fresh herbs, a little lemon, a tiny touch of maple, and the BBQ doing the rest.

GOLDEN WINGS

Ingredients
• 1 lb chicken wings
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
• 1 tbsp fresh mint, finely chopped
• 1 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped
• 1 clove garlic, grated
• 1/2 tsp turmeric
• 1–2 tsp lemon juice
• 1/2 tsp Ideal Protein Maple Syrup Alternative
• Salt + black pepper



Instructions

1. In a bowl, mix olive oil, parsley, mint, dill, garlic, turmeric, lemon juice, IP maple, salt, and pepper.
2. Toss wings well in the marinade and let sit for 30–60 minutes.
3. Place wings on the BBQ over medium-high heat and cook for 20–25 minutes, turning regularly, until golden, charred, and cooked through.
4. Transfer to a platter and serve immediately

It’s my birthday month, and honestly this is exactly how I love to eat this time of year.

Simple meals, fresh ingredients, almost no clean up…
just good food on the BBQ.

Wrapped in parchment, opened at the table, eaten slowly outside.
That’s the whole mood.

FIRE SALMON

Ingredients
• 1 salmon fillet
• 1 tsp olive oil
• Zest of 1/2 lemon
• 1–2 lemon slices
• Fresh dill
• Salt + black pepper

Dill Cucumber Smash
• 1/2 cucumber, lightly smashed + chopped
• Fresh dill
• 1 tsp sesame oil
• 1–2 tsp lemon juice
• 1 tsp olive oil
• Pinch sea salt

Instructions

1. Place salmon onto parchment paper
2. Drizzle with olive oil and season with lemon zest, dill, salt, and pepper
3. Add lemon slices and seal into a parchment packet
4. BBQ over medium heat for 10–12 minutes
5. Mix cucumber, dill, lemon juice, olive oil, and sea salt together
6. Open salmon carefully and serve with dill cucumber smash
