Outdoor Outdoor Film Festival is hosted annually in southern New Brunswick Founded with the mission of sharing the natural beauty and adventures in our own backyards, OOFF seeks to bring people together through stories of people living life to their fullest outside. The premiere of OOFF will be held in Saint Jo

hn, New Brunswick June 10th 2022 - and the films will be screened outside! As a hub for all with a passion for anything and everything outdoors, the Festival offers attendees the opportunity to experience the natural world and activities it celebrates. OOFF is investing in the future of our planet and its people through the screening of socially-conscious and environmentally-positive media projects that inspire a spirit of outdoor adventure. Throughout the year OOFF serves as the host for special interest outdoor adventure film festivals such as the Banff Mountain Film Festival, Trails in Motion, Paddling Film Festival, Women’s Adventure Film Tour, and more. As a platform for groups that align with our mission to promote outdoor lifestyles through rich media projects, our screenings and events seek to make an impact in environmental regeneration, protection and sustainability, while cultivating and growing stewardship of the natural environment.

Crafting Outdoor Adventure Films for Festival Success

Workshop Instructor: Greg Hemmings

Description: The Outdoor Outdoor Film Festival will present a one-hour webinar for emerging filmmakers interested in creating outdoor adventure films for festival submission. Festival organizer Greg Hemmings will share the festival’s vision, highlight what makes outdoor stories connect with audiences, and offer practical advice on creating strong films with small crews and modest budgets. Local filmmakers whose work has screened or won at the festival will also share insights from their experience. The session will conclude with a Q&A and guidance on how to submit films to the festival.

Biography: Greg Hemmings is an award-winning filmmaker, producer, and founder of Hemmings Films in Saint John, New Brunswick. His work in documentary, television, and film is known for its strong social impact and has earned national and international recognition. In addition to his filmmaking, he is also a mentor, speaker, and passionate advocate for storytelling that creates connection and change.
