Well, today marks a big milestone in my life. I am now part of the 50 club.

A lot of people have asked if it bothers me turning 50, and honestly, it doesn't. My age has never bothered me. It truly is just a number to me. I feel that age brings us beauty, wisdom, and a scene of all we have accomplished in life. That we are so fortunate to reach the next birthday as so many of us don't get that privilege to do so.

I am so grateful and proud of so many things in the 50 years I have been on this earth. To mention just a few: Words can not express how grateful I am to have walked through 27 years of marriage through the good and the bad times with Shane, I am grateful to be a mother to my two incredible children that bring me all the joy a person could ever ask for. These three humans complete me and my journey through life. So thank you for walking by my side.
I am grateful for my faith in God even though at times I may question. He has given me the gift of working with my hands and bringing so many others joy and happiness on their wedding day. It is truly a blessing.

So here's to 50 and to so many more years to come!

As a florist in a new season of life, and being that I work as a solo florist with no staff, my children are away from home and live further away, and my parents are aging and needing more care. I tend to gravitate to intimate and elopement style weddings recently.

I am not saying I will not design for larger weddings, but I am focusing on gradually taking on less larger weddings per year and booking more intamate and elopement style weddings like this romantic intimate outdoor farm styled shoot.

There is something to be said about an outdoor intimate wedding. The romantic atmosphere, being surrounded by the very special people in your lives, and not to mention the beauty of nature that surrounds you. It's incredibly romantic if I may say so!
