Last night, Harvey Hall hosted a screening of the film, “A Fervent Pull,” a riveting documentary about three Albert County residents, created by Riverview resident Film Maker Colleen Furlotte. Members of the community were invited to view the screening in exchange for a full bag of non-perishable groceries or a cash donation, with all proceeds going to the Shepody Food Bank. We followed the passions of Melvin Perez surfing the tidal bore on the Petitcodiac River; Danica Sherry, an internationally renowned artistic portrait photographer; and Rodney Steeves, a dedicated volunteer trail keeper on the Dobson Trail. The film captured the essence of Albert County in splendid fashion, and every resident or resident wannabe should watch it.
We at the Shepody Food Bank are humbled by the generosity and community spirit of Colleen Furlotte and her team, and would like to shout out a huge Thank You. We would also like to thank Harvey Hall, especially Debbie James, who coordinated the event. We could not exist without the support of the community around us.
