The Lit Gala is back ✨

Join us on November 14, 2026 at the iconic Fairmont Royal York Hotel for an unforgettable evening celebrating culture, community, philanthropy, and impact. This year, all proceeds will support Save a Family Plan India — helping empower women, children, and families through education, healthcare, and sustainable community programs.

The light we celebrate at Lit Gala has always stood for something bigger — the belief that we can illuminate lives far beyond our own. 🪔

We are so proud to announce that our 2026 charity partner is Save A Family Plan — a Canadian-based registered charity that has been transforming lives in India since 1965. 🇨🇦🤝🇮🇳

This year, funds raised at Lit Gala will directly support two of SAFP’s core programs, with a focus on empowerment and sustainable living:

💼 Family Development — families gain the skills to launch their own small businesses, earn a sustainable income, and build a better future for their children — supported by field staff, local resources, and community engagement

🏡 Building Sustainable Homes — safe, stable housing is the foundation for everything. A secure home makes education, employment, and health possible.

🚽 Building Toilets — sanitation facilities built within family compounds protect women and children from the dangers of venturing out alone, paired with hygiene education that saves lives

☀️ Solar Panels for Homes — rooftop solar systems bring electricity indoors so parents can work from home, children can study after dark, and exterior lighting keeps families safe

🌿 Biogas Systems — clean-burning fuel for year-round cooking, replacing dangerous open fires inside the home and protecting family health

Strong families build stronger communities — and this Diwali, we’re celebrating that truth.

When we founded LIT Gala in 2023, the vision was simple: bring together a new generation of South Asian professionals who want to give back, celebrate our culture, and actually have a good time doing it. Bhangra on the dance floor, glamour, dosas and biryani — and real dollars going to causes that matter.

This year, the Lit Gala community came together like never before — and we’re beyond proud to share that we raised $130,000 for our highest fundraising total since the Lit Gala began! 💧

Your generosity will help kickstart H2O4All’s upcoming India project, bringing safe, sustainable water solutions to communities in need — a true ripple effect of change.

This year was also full of firsts:
💫 Our biggest fundraising total to date
⚾ Our first time going head-to-head with a Canada-wide sporting event (Game 7, we see you!)
🪔 And the first time a Diwali event was featured in the Style section of Toronto Life

Each year, we grow stronger, louder, and more united in our purpose — to elevate our community by giving back. Thank you for believing in our mission and celebrating with heart. ❤️

This photo says it all — joy, connection, and celebration for a cause that truly matters.

From all of us founders, thank you for showing up, dressing up, and lighting up the night with your energy. We know there was so much happening that night — Game 7, downtown chaos, and all — but your support meant the world. We truly needed you there, and you made it all worth it. ❤️

Even though the game didn’t end how we hoped, we hope you still had an unforgettable night celebrating, dancing, and giving back.

It takes nearly a full year to plan this event, and seeing it come to life with so much love and community reminds us exactly why we do it.
