🏁 Turns out, we don’t only plan weddings. We also plan chaos. 😂

Last weekend, we traded timelines, first dances and seating charts for locked-up car keys, cryptic clues, bowling, escape rooms, firefighters, golf, cocktails, Slurpees, co****le and a whole lot of questionable decision-making.

Welcome to AMAZING RACE: FRIESEN 40. 🏁

We created this one for our friends to celebrate our 40th birthdays, and after months of planning, 20 racers took off across Regina and surrounding area for an all-day Amazing Race-style competition.

And it. Was. EPIC.

The best part? This is exactly the kind of thing Honeycomb Events loves to do.

We plan weddings all the time — but at the end of the day, we’re event planners. Give us a reason to get creative and we are ALL IN.

MONDAY WEDDING RECAP 🐝

Saturday’s wedding forecast: love, laughter and WHY IS IT THIS COLD IN SEPTEMBER?! 😂

We headed out to The Greens at Regina Beach for coordination + DJ, with plans for a beautiful outdoor ceremony.

Saskatchewan had other plans.

Our bride and groom made the executive decision to move the ceremony into the tent and, quite frankly, 10/10 decision. No notes.

We fired up the heater, warmed up the ceremony — literally — and got these two married without adding “mild hypothermia” to the wedding-day memories. 🔥😂

Then came the room flip.

With Honeycomb, the bridal party and the fathers of the bride putting in the work, the ceremony disappeared and a beautiful reception took its place.

Honestly, nothing says welcome to the family quite like moving tables and chairs in formalwear.

Then the speeches got heartfelt, the drinks started flowing and the dance floor took over for the rest of the night.

The heater also stayed.

At this point, it was basically part of the wedding party.

Wedding days don’t always go according to Plan A — and this is exactly why we love coordination. Make the call, change the plan, move the chairs, turn up the music and keep the damn wedding going. 🙌

While part of the Honeycomb crew was in Lumsden pretending we had been transported straight into Bridgerton, we sent Will off to Estevan unsupervised. 😂

And judging by the evidence… he did just fine.

While we were surrounded by romance, trees and Regency-era vibes, Will had one job: keep the party going.

Mission accomplished. 🔥

Two weddings. Two towns. Two completely different vibes. One very busy Honeycomb weekend — exactly how we like it.

Dearest gentle reader…

It appears the wedding season has delivered yet another love story worthy of the ton. 🤍

This past weekend, Honeycomb Events had the absolute pleasure of coordinating and DJing a beautifully romantic, Bridgerton-inspired wedding — and the setting could not have been more perfect.

The bride and groom exchanged their vows on the family acreage, beneath trees the bride planted with her own two hands years ago.

Long before there was a wedding to plan.
Long before she knew she would one day stand beneath those very branches in a wedding dress.
And long before she knew who would be waiting for her at the end of the aisle.

If that isn’t the beginning of a love story, we don’t know what is. 🌿

This one was especially meaningful for us, too. The groom worked for Trev years ago, so getting the call to be part of their wedding day felt a little bit full circle.

After a beautiful ceremony beneath the trees, the celebration moved to Lumsden Hall, where the Bridgerton-inspired details continued — romantic, elegant and timeless, followed by exactly the kind of party we love to see.

And as Lady Whistledown would surely report: the dance floor did not disappoint. 😉

💗 Come on Barbie, let’s get married. 💗

Caydence & Aaron’s wedding was PINK, polished, emotional, and one heck of a party. ✨

When Caydence told us she wanted Barbie, we knew exactly what the assignment was — bring the pink, bring the fun… but give it a sophisticated, classy wedding-day glow-up. 💕 And seeing it all come together at Wascana Country Club was pretty incredible.

Honeycomb Events had the absolute privilege of taking this wedding from concept to creation — helping shape the vision, directing the décor, planning the details, coordinating the day, and then jumping behind the DJ booth to make sure the party was every bit as memorable as the rest of it.

And PARTY they did. 🔥💃

But this one was more than just another wedding for us.

Caydence is a girl I watched grow up alongside my oldest daughter through years of dance. To go from seeing those girls in costumes and dance shoes to watching Caydence walk down the aisle as an absolutely STUNNING bride was one of those full-circle moments that hits you right in the heart. 🥹💗

There were tears. There were BIG emotions. There was so much laughter and love. And there was an epic dance floor to finish it all off.

Caydence & Aaron — thank you for trusting Honeycomb Events with such an important day. It was truly an honour to plan it, create it, coordinate it and celebrate right alongside you. We hope married life is every bit as beautiful, fun and full of love as your wedding day was. 💕

We had the privilege of DJing their reception, and this crew absolutely understood the assignment. 🎶 From the first songs of the night right through until the lights came on, the party did 👏 not 👏 stop 👏.

The best kind of wedding night — great people, packed dance floor, sore feet and maybe a few questionable dance moves by the end. 😂

✨ MONDAY WEDDING RECAP: HONEYCOMB’S VERSION ✨

We don’t know about you, but we’re still in our Hanna & Carson era. 💛

Friday was an Enchanted kind of day as we celebrated these two with the most beautiful garden party wedding — and trust us when we say, Sparks Fly may as well have been the theme. ✨

Honeycomb got to be there for the whole Love Story:

✨ Room flip
🤍 Day-of coordination
🎧 DJ

We kept everything running on time, flipped the room, kept the drinks flowing and, when it was finally time to hit the dance floor, we knew All Too Well what needed to happen.

Because when the bride is a HUGE Swiftie with a healthy love for ABBA, you better believe we understood the assignment. 😂🪩

There were happy tears. There were huge laughs. There were emotional moments that had us in our feelings. And then there was a dance floor full of people who were absolutely ready to Shake It Off — with a little Dancing Queen thrown in for good measure. 💃

Hanna & Carson, thank you for trusting Honeycomb with your day. We hope when you look back, you remember it All Too Well — because this one was pretty damn special. 💛
