Proudly representing her mixed heritage of First Nations (Blackfoot - Kainai) and Black (African American), Prairi makes sure her performances celebrate both cultures through the rhythm and soul of Black and Indigenous music.

A seasoned performer and producer since 2019, Prairi is the mastermind behind the Calgary Indigenous burlesque group, The Vigil Aunties, and a proud member of the BIPOC Alberta collective, Honey’d Hues.

This curvaceous cutie is like the berry you just can’t get enough of—sweet, irresistible, and always leaving you wanting more!

Our next performer is an award-winning, international burlesque artist, from just down the road:

For the past 18 years, Bea Lissima has been performing and producing in the burlesque community. This Moh’kins’tsis born maven has competed at the Japan International Burlesque Festival, performed at the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekender in Las Vegas. She was awarded “Best Burlesque” at the 2023 Imperial Burlesque Competition in Montreal, and was crowned 2nd Runner Up at the 2024 Pacific Northwest Burlesque Festival. Combining intersex queerness, Filipino heritage, and disability into her performances, she creates a sacred experience for all those brave enough to witness.

She’s the leftist centrefold, the headliner that turns your heads, your pearl of the prairies....

Next up on the roster for Kickoff Show, The Rhinestone Rebellion: A Celebration of Q***r Mischief, is Two-Spirit Legend, !

Argintina Hailey-Lawrence is a proud Two-Spirit Member of the Stoney Nakoda First Nation. She has accomplished a lot in her 25 year drag career n has held many titles in her lifetime which includes Legacy Two Spirit Princess 36 of the Greater Vancouver Native Cultural Society, including her first ever City of Calgary Elected Title of Ms Gay Calgary 2001-2002.

Argintina has held the title of Her Imperial Sovereign Majesty, Empress 29 in 2005, Empress 37 in 2013 and Empress 45 in 2021, this title is part of the Imperial Sovereign Court of the Chinook Arch, Southern Alberta’s oldest 2SLGBTQ+ Charity Organization.

Argintina was awarded as one of the Lifetime Achievement Award back in 2019 for her continued work raising funds for charity and raising awareness for various organizations she is passionate about.

Argintina has worked effortlessly to have the Two Spirit Drag Artists of Treaty 7 Territory be included in Major Drag Events in Calgary & Southern Alberta.

Her Greatest Milestone is bringing Pride Celebrations to her homeland of The Stoney Nakoda First Nation, which they celebrated their 3rd Annual Mînî Thnî (formerly known as Morley) Two Spirit Pride 6 years ago. The Mînî Thnî (formerly known as Morley) Two Spirit Pride Celebration was officially announced as being the first and only one to celebrate Pride on a First Nation Treaty Land in Alberta when they had their first Celebration.

Argintina is of the Old School Drag Era but is not afraid to dabble her toes in today's modern day drag. She can write a book about her many accomplishments but she just wants everyone one to know, she is truly grateful to be able to hold on long enough to path the way for future Two Spirit Drag Artists.

Most recently Argintina was named as one of the 2023 CBC/USAY Calgary's Indigenous Changemakers and was awarded for her work to include Two Spirit/IndigiQ***r Artists in Major 2SLGBTQ+ Events across Southern Alberta.

Our first performer announcement for Kickoff Show, The Rhinestone Rebellion: A Celebration of Q***r Mischief, is no other than local babe, !

Before moving to smalltown Alberta, she was a core member of the Vancouver Burlesque Scene, as a performer, producer and instructor. Although currently semi-retired, she has had a long career as an artist and entertainer in the burlesque, fe**sh and erotic dance scenes; performing in many esteemed festivals and shows, competing at the Burlesque Hall of Fame, producing events, teaching, touring full time, n**e modeling and even appearing in music videos and movies.

In recent years, she has taken a step back from the hustle to live her best life covered in dirt in her many gardens, doing home renovations and hanging out with her familiars - incognito - as your friendly neighborhood witch.

She went from performing everyday, to only making appearances a couple times a year, but her fierce, b***y, badass energy remains ever present - a performer with attitude to spare and assets abundant enough to share.

Starting off with Host Extraordinaire, Baron von Boom (aka The Glitterwookiee)!

“Burlesque’s biggest cheerleader!”

The Glitterwookiee is very humbled to have been a part of the burlesque community for almost 15 years. As an emcee, producer, ring announcer, stage manager and roadie, he does his best to help out wherever he can.

Based in Mohkinstsis (colonially referred to as Calgary), he is a founding member of Glitterverse Productions and with his partner Kara Ka-Pow! and kid Dare Reaire, he is very proud to bring Zoink!, Nerdgasm: TNG and Big Band Burlesque to Alberta stages. He is also a frequent collaborator with The Cabaret Company and is very proud to be a ring announcer for the one and only GoGo Battles.
