Sometimes, I step back in the middle of a setup and think — what a gift this is.

I don’t bring people together — that part is already in motion. But I get to frame the moment. I help create the kind of setting that says: this matters. That this birthday, this baby shower, this bridal brunch or backyard night in — it deserves to feel a little heartfelt.

I’ve been lucky to witness so many beautiful moments: best friends laughing, grandmothers meeting their newest grandchild, brides-to-be surrounded by their people, and little ones wide-eyed at the sight of their very own party world, made just for them. And then there are the quiet, tender gatherings where loved ones come together for what they know may be their last. Those ones stay with me.

What I do is small in the grand scheme of things — but somehow, it holds space for something big. And every time, I leave a little changed. More grateful. More in awe of what it means to celebrate this life, together. The beauty in all of it is that every event holds a different story, and each one teaches me something new about love, joy, resilience, and what matters most.
