Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there!

I'm forever grateful to my dad for the rhythm he brought to my life. His musical talent and influence sparked a passion within me that has grown into Mountain Music. Days like today sure can be tough since his passing. He is dearly remembered and I'm honored to carry on his legacy and share the joy of music with family and friends.

Beyond the personal level, music has an impact on society at large. It serves as a unifying force, breaking down cultural barriers and promoting social cohesion. A sense of allyship and belonging is fostered via shared experiences at events like festivals, concerts, and gatherings.

Local musicians often struggle to get their start without support from their community. By attending their shows, we can help them gain the recognition they deserve and continue creating beautiful music. Supporting local musicians is instrumental in creating a vibrant community.

Music can create social bonds. It often reflects the identity of a community or group, highlighting their unique history, language, and heritage. It can evoke a sense of belonging and pride.

We truly believe Red Deer is an amazing community and supporter of the Arts. The music scene is alive and vibrant. And we are proud to be a part of it. We are looking forward to attending several events in the area over the coming months.

PBR Red Deer Classic

For the fourth consecutive year, PBR Canada’s elite Cup Series will buck into Red Deer, Alberta, launching the 2025 season for the nation’s premier series with the PBR Red Deer Classic, at the Peavey Mart Centrium at Westerner Park on February 1.

PBR Canada’s Cup Series regularly features Canada’s best riders alongside some of the organization’s top international athletes, squaring off against the rankest bucking bulls from across the nation.

For one night only, fans will witness exhilarating 8-second rides and wrecks throughout the action-packed event as the PBR’s courageous bull-riding athletes face off against their 2,000-pound opponents born to buck.

We had supper tonight with a great group of local entrepreneurs and business owners. It sure is nice getting together to build each other up and encourage personal and professional develoment.
