Happy November!

As the weather is cooling and I am getting ready to slow down for the winter I remember that endings are important. As of this week I have one final wedding coming up, which will end my 2025 season of celebrating love with so many beautiful couples.

I wanted to take this moment to thank each of you for trusting me with your wedding or elopement ceremonies. It was such an honour to work with you to create a ceremony that reflects your story, they were all so unique and special. I am feeling so much gratitude to have had the honour of standing with you as you shared your love with one another.

Greetings from Vancouver Island!

It's been exactly 2 months since we walked through the doors of our Qualicum beach home and I still can't believe I'm back in BC.

There are many things I miss about NB: the trees, the river, the tides, elopements, weddings and of course friendships.

Starting again is not new to me but starting a business again from scratch is. If you know me, you know I'm not much of a social media person but when it comes to my business I need to stretch myself a little. I was encouraged by a friend to write a blog, so i did.

Celebrating my final ceremony in New Brunswick at the beautiful Algonquin Resort in Saint Andrews-by-the-sea

So grateful for the past 4 years. I have learned, grown and met incredible people along the way.

On to new adventures...

Vancouver island tomorrow to be reunited with my family and open the door to our new home and new experiences.

We are so excited to share our new website!

We have a new website!!

We've been working on this new website with the Magnolia Marketing team and are thrilled to have hit publish on the site earlier this week.

It's more than we could have ever hoped for. Eternal thanks to Lindsay at Magnolia Marketing for her work, and for her patience—Deanna and I took our sweet time doing our part on this 😬

You'll also notice that we have a new name!

It's actually not new to us—it's our legally registered name, but we decided to use the new website as an opportunity to introduce it.

We'll continue to use New Brunswick Elopements and Elope New Brunswick interchangeably... because NBE just sounds better!

A new wedding season, brings new excitement!

As couples are reaching out to find a Celebrant to officiate their wedding, it's just the beginning for me to unleash my passion on these poor folks. I get a little excited 😄!

I love these meetings, we swap stories, share wedding visions and I get to share how the ceremomy can be just about them and their love story.

So, to the couples who have reached out, I look forward to the season ahead and to those I have not yet heard from, I look forward to connecting with you.

ANNOUNCEMENT! We are so excited to present...

Limited Edition Elopements at the Algonquin Resort, Autograph Collection. December 16th & 17th, 2022 only. Spaces are extremely limited so that we can provide each couple with a personal and meaningful experience. Choose from a late morning or afternoon timeline.

This limited edition elopement experience has been created in collaboration with Wedding Officiant Deanna Balcarras - Celebrant, Wedding Photographer Shannon-May Photography, Floral Designer Cara Fitch from Trille Floral, and the Algonquin Resort, Autograph Collection

Enjoy a custom wedding ceremony performed by Deanna followed by a mini-cocktail reception including charcuterie, sweets, and sparkling wine prepared and hosted by The Algonquin in the Garden Veranda.

Florals for both marriers will be designed by Trille.

And, all the moments and merriment will be candidly and beautifully documented by Shannon-May, along with a few lightly directed portraits to celebrate your wedding day!

Also included is a two-night stay at the Algonquin during your wedding weekend.
