We have the privilege and honour of gathering on Secwépemc territory — and with that comes a responsibility to act with deep respect, care, and awareness.

Leave No Trace is one of our founding principles — not just a practice, but a mindset. When we come together to celebrate, we also commit to leaving the land better than we found it.

CONTEST WINNER SPOTLIGHT: Stemmily

We’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Stemmily (Emily Arceneaux) to the Electric Love 2025 lineup as one of our official DJ contest winners!

Born in Louisiana and blazing her way through North America’s Drum and Bass scene, Stemmily is a genre-bending force of nature. With a background in classical drums, piano, and guitar, she brings a lifetime of musicality to the decks — fusing cinematic textures, deep rhythms, and unapologetic bass into her own sound.

After dropping her hypnotic debut “Incantation” in 2023 and following it up with the genre-defying “Temptation” in 2024, she’s been levelling up fast-hitting festival stages like Fête Du Void, Babestock and sharing lineups with Sinistarr, Blossom, NotLo, Yookie, and more.

And when she’s not shaking dancefloors? She’s building community through Revel Scum LLC, an artist-driven event brand dedicated to uplifting the underground.

For Stemmily, music is ritual, release, and a call to power — and we can’t wait to feel that energy on the Meadows this August as she fires up The Nest Stage!

And right now, it’s Kamloops Pride Week (June 9–15)!

Pride began as a protest — led by trans women of colour, drag queens, and the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, who rose up and sparked a global movement. That legacy lives on the dancefloor, where self-expression, chosen family, and radical joy are everything.

Electronic music was born in q***r, Black, and Latinx underground spaces — not the mainstream. House came from Chicago’s Black gay clubs. Techno was forged in working-class Detroit by Black artists shaping sound and freedom.

Q***r. Black. Working class. Underground.
That’s where rave culture started — and where its heart still beats.

This Pride Week, we honour the 2SLGBTQIA+ community not just for showing up, but for building the culture we live and dance in.

Electric Love stands proud — this week, this month, and always to dance and be free.
