Why do I do the extra stuff?

Because, legacy is more important than money to me.

What matters most is how I show up for people. the love, the listening, the tears shared, the little details that let you know I care.

Flowers may be my work, but my true calling is weaving myself into the moments that matter most in your life. Letting you know I see you, I hear you.

When you look back, I don’t want you to just remember the flowers. I want you to remember how you felt. That is the legacy I hope to leave behind.

This is something I will never change. ❤️

A Reminder About Being Human

Yesterday, I was out with my daughter who I haven’t seen since Christmas and a woman I’ve never met said, “Ohh, that’s why she’s not open she’s shopping.”

Let me be very clear: I do not owe anyone an explanation for how I spend my personal time.

I run my shop alone. I work hard. And I sacrifice a lot to keep my little business going and my health has not been good. But I’m also a mom of 5 children and when I get a rare day with my daughter or family, I will take it without apology. I’m also a wife, I have dogs, cats chickens and the list goes on. We also all were finally able to come together as a family in sechelt to mourn my grandpa who I lost recently and follow his wishes to spread him and my Nana throughout the ocean. But hey, I’m just out shopping right?

Small business owners are not robots. We get tired. We have families. We have lives outside of our shops.

So if you see my door closed, it’s not because I don’t care. It’s because I’m taking care of myself and my people. And that matters just as much as my business, actually it matters more.

If you support small business, please remember: behind that door is a real human doing their best.

Life is too short to run myself into the ground I have done that for 2 years now! And I’m trying my best to find a solution. So thank you for those who don’t just assume or have nothing else better to do than talk about people they know nothing about.
