We recently chatted with Oakland Rec Club board member Darren MacDonald about the big curling weekend they just had. We often shout out to the main faces of the many great groups, clubs and charities in the area but today, give a shout out to a volunteer who is maybe a bit more behind the scenes. Quietly doing a shift at the canteen or door, helping at events over and over. Maybe not the main organizer, but the person who always shows up to help. And go!
