Today marked a truly special moment of remembrance and celebration.

On this 80th Anniversary of VE-Day, May 8th, 2025, I had the honour of capturing images from an event that beautifully paid tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of so many.

The Canadian Armed Forces Parachute Team, The SkyHawks, put on an incredible display, a breathtaking show from above that had the crowd in awe. As you’ll see from just a few of the images (so hard to narrow them down!), their precision and spirit were unforgettable.

We were also treated to the powerful sounds of The Royal Regiment of Canada Band and the stirring performance of the Uxbridge Legion Pipes and Drums. Together, they filled the air with music that lifted spirits and honoured history as The Colour Party Marched in.

What a wonderful event to attend and document, a moving reminder of courage, freedom, and community.

There are moments in life that take your breath away, and this is one of them. Holding my grandson for the first time, capturing his tiny features through my lens, it's a feeling like no other.
Honoured to say the least that this little one is my flesh and blood, a part of my heart.
Congratulations to Mike and Cass on this beautiful new chapter.
My heart is overflowing.
