The prettiest (and easiest!) way to make edible wafer paper Ranunculus flowers. These are perfect for wedding cakes, as cupcake toppers, or just as table decor!

I used a 2ā€ cutter for my wafer paper, and used a mixture of glycerin and distilled water (1/2 tsp glycerin to 1 tbsp of water) to glue each piece onto the previous. You could also use piping gel :). I used dry food colours to paint onto my wafer paper first.

If adding to a buttercream cake, you can dip the back in melted white chocolate to stop them from disintegrating :)

Trying out painted cakes technique!

These are so fun and relaxing to make! It’s a combination of colouring/painting and baking and there are SO many possibilities! I used ’s recipe and it turned out perfect! Make sure to follow her instructions exactly as you’ll need to chill the batter in between some of the layers.

I already have so many ideas for Halloween and Christmas šŸ˜‰

🧸The cutest mini teddy bear cookies you ever did see!🧸.

If you’re looking for a fun, easy baking craft to make with the kiddies, definitely give these adorable little bears a try! You can use store-bought cookie dough (I used sugar cookie and chocolate dough) or feel free to make your favourite homemade cookie dough.

To stop them from spreading too much in the oven, pop the bears into the freezer for 10-15 mins before baking.

The BEST jumbo s’mores cookies. Filled with marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate chunks in a delicious cookie base, these whoppers are massive and definitely a true indulgence! I tested several cooking times and temps, and below is what worked best for me (I love a slightly underbaked soft cookie) but feel free to bake for longer if you prefer them on the crispier side.

Jumbo S’mores Cookies (makes 8 GIANT cookies)

1 cup salted butter softened
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup dark brown sugar

Cream together until well mixed and lightened in colour.

Add

two eggs one at a time
1 tsp vanilla

Mix well

Whisk together:

3 cups of flour
1 tsp sea salt
3/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cornstarch

Add to butter mixture and stir until just incorporated. Mix in two cups of chocolate chips (I like a mixture of chips and chunks).

Weigh out 8 rounds of dough, each approx 166 grams (I told you they’re huge!). Or just roughly split dough into 8 equal portions.

Using vegan marshmallows (these don’t melt and disappear like regular marshmallows so best not to substitute!), cut each marshmallow into quarters. Add around 4-5 pieces to the top of each dough ball.

Set each ball onto a graham cracker on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 400° for around 12-15 minutes (slightly more if you like them more cooked).

I like to add Teddy grahams and a few extra chocolate chunks to mine when they come out of the oven. Let cool and enjoy!

This recipe is adapted from Modern Honey’s recipe so if you like a thicker more Levain bakery type cookie, definitely check out that recipe!

The most delicious strawberry glaze made from macerated fresh strawberries. This mouth-watering glaze is perfect on Bundt cakes, loaves, muffins, or even ice cream!

Looking for the cake recipe? Check out for this delicious strawberry Bundt cake recipe!

Strawberry Glaze

12 oz chopped strawberries (fresh local ones are the best and juiciest!)
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp vanilla (optional)
2-3 cups sifted icing sugar (this will depend on how much juice comes out of your berries. You could need much less or much more lol)

Combine the chopped strawberries, sugar and lemon juice in a bowl and let sit for approximately one hour, stirring occasionally. There should be a fair amount of juice at the bottom of the bowl.

Strain the strawberries and juice into a separate larger bowl and push the strawberries into the strainer to make sure you get all of the strawberry juice.

Add a small bit of icing sugar at a time into the juice and whisk to remove any lumps. Keep adding icing sugar and whisking until you reach your desired consistency. If it gets too stiff you can add additional juice/milk/cream/etc. Add vanilla if using.

Drizzle on top of your favourite cake or loaf, and add the leftover macerated strawberries as a garnish if desired (they’re delicious!).

Enjoy! šŸ“
