ok guys and gals in the facebook corner of my life. I am sure many of you have seen the video I will attach at the end of this post. The reason for reposting this video is I am taking it upon myself with no restaurant backing or anything to start my feeding the homeless program again. Right now it is needed more than ever as the weather gets colder..

When one realizes how little it costs to create a healthy hot lunch I have no doubt they would want to help as I do now and always will believe there is good in everybody.

Make no mistake this is not me asking for money, because even though I have no restaurant or sponsor helping I will take the money needed from my pocket if I must because it is something I believe in for more reasons that I could tell you in this post. Watch the video if you havent yet.

What I am wanting and needing is volunteers to help me serve lunch on the times we will do it. I am going to try to do at least one lunch before christmas and once the new year starts we will be starting full swing with as many lunches as financially possible.

I am only one man, but i believe one person, one act can change and inspire, and I only hope my actions will inspire others to step forward and help the less fortunate. If you would like to volunteer for one of these lunches please message me or send me an email to [email protected] with your intentions, and you will definetly know in advance when I will need you.

I myself dont have a lot to give, but what I do have I would gladly give to help my fellow man. Any donations are always welcome be it food for a lunch, warm clothes donations, blankets, long underwear, winter coats, and socks warm socks and gloves and toques. Clothes and blanket donations can be brought straight to Metro at 1470 Water Street Tueday through Friday 8:30 to 1:30. Like I mentioned if you would like to donate your time or food items for a lunch contact me through the above means , and anything would be welcome including bodies for serving lunches.

Helping the less fortunate is the name of the game here folks and I challenge anyone to join the game.

Hummus sales are increasing everyday. Batch 00010 is almost sold out. Have no fear I will be making a new batch tomorrow. If you want to come down for some I have it here for you. Working on a fifth flavour. Should be interesting. I will have some samples tomorrow. Come say HI!!

April 15 folks you will be able to enjoy Naked Chick Pea hummus again anytime you want. You can come to Anthonys Pub and stay for some free pool and and a wicked hummus platter or just pop in for some to take home.

Either way ChefKen is excited. Not only is the hummus going to be in stores soon, but The Naked Chick Pea community fund is going to start building again. 10% of every hummus sold will go into this fund, and as we did last year the funds will go to helping the homeless eat some healthy food.

As always I appreciate my friends, and supporters, and cant wait to bring you my delicious hummus.

I have exciting news. ChefKen has taken on a second job, and have been given access to the kitchen to start producing my hummus for retail sales. Starting first week of April you will be able to come to Anthony's Pub and Grill and either stay for a bevvie and an awesome hummus platter with some awesome company. Like our page, and our address phone number etc. You will also be able to come in and buy my hummus to take home with you if you like, and why wouldn't you want to?

Im very excited, soon also you will start seeing it in farmers markets all through the valley. I will keep you posted where and when it will there. For now come on down to Anthonys Pub and say hi.

Sorry folks I gave the wrong day for the Rutland FLea Market. It is July 6 and every sunday after. If you cant make it to the flea market and would still like to get some email me at [email protected] and I am sure we can arrange a delivery for you.

Even though I am no longer at Sliderz I will continue with donating a portion of each hummus sale. 75 cents from each hummus sold will go into the NCP community fund which will be used to feed the less fortunate. So come on down for some awesome hummus and help the community. It may not seem like much but I know very well that the little bits go a long way.
