Penticton Peach Festival is an annual South Okanagan Valley tradition of five days of FREE family fun. The festival began in 1947, to celebrate the peach harvest in Penticton, British Columbia, Canada. Peach Festival takes annually in August, following the BC Day holiday (Wednesday-Sunday) and you are invited to join us for music, activities, entertainment, amazing food and vendors.

This week didn’t end the way any of us imagined, but it reminded us of something far more important - what it truly means to be a community.

To our incredible volunteers, sponsors, performers, partners, first responders, festival team, and every single person who showed up, adapted, supported and gave so generously - thank you.

I am incredibly proud of what we created together, and even more proud of how we came together when our community needed it most.

It has been an absolute honour to serve as your Peach Festival President.

Peach Festival Fundraising Efforts Continue Following Rally the Valley

Following an incredible show of community support Saturday evening, Penticton Peach Festival will continue accepting donations in support of the regional wildfire relief effort, while all remaining Sunday festival programming has been cancelled.

Saturday night’s Rally the Valley, featuring Virginia to Vegas and Tristan Telle raised over $5000 for the relief effort.

What came together in only a matter of hours was an incredible reminder of what our community can accomplish when people rally around those who need support.

We are tremendously grateful to Virginia to Vegas and Tristan Telle for stepping up on such short notice and bringing their energy to Penticton. For a few hours, our community was able to gather, dance, connect and turn an incredibly difficult weekend into an opportunity to help.

Our deepest thanks also go to everyone who attended and donated, our volunteer directors, sound and stage crews, sponsors, and the Penticton Lakeside Resort & Conference Centre for their extraordinary flexibility and support. We are incredibly proud of the Peach Festival team for pivoting so quickly and wholeheartedly to make the evening possible.

As the wildfire emergency continues, we believe the focus of our community, resources and volunteer capacity needs to remain with those impacted and the ongoing emergency response. For that reason, all Peach Festival programming scheduled for Sunday, August 9 has been cancelled.

While this is not how we imagined concluding our 79th Penticton Peach Festival, we could not be prouder of how it evolved — from a weekend of celebration into an opportunity to stand together and support our neighbours.

And that support doesn’t have to end with the Festival.

🎡 SHOOTING STAR AMUSEMENTS REMAINS OPEN

While Peach Festival programming has been paused today in response to the wildfire situation, Shooting Star Amusements will remain open today and Sunday for those who choose to attend.

We recognize that families in our community are navigating this situation differently, and for some, a little familiarity and fun may be welcomed.

Shooting Star Amusements has also confirmed that all pre-purchased ride passes will be honoured at any event they attend this year or next year for those unable or choosing not to attend this weekend.

Our thoughts remain with everyone impacted, and we continue to be incredibly grateful to our firefighters, first responders and emergency personnel. ❤️

Penticton Peach Festival Pivots to Fire Relief Concert Featuring Virginia to Vegas

PENTICTON, B.C. — August 8, 2026 — Penticton Peach Festival is turning an unexpected cancellation into an opportunity to support those impacted by the ongoing wildfire and evacuations in the region.

Peach Fest Fire Relief, featuring Canadian pop artist virginia to vegas., will take place tonight in the East Ballroom at the Penticton Lakeside Resort & Conference Centre.

In less than 24 hours, Peach Festival went from hosting Friday night’s Tribute Night, to cancelling Saturday programming to help keep roads and emergency routes clear, to working with its partners to organize tonight’s fundraiser.

“In ordinary times, Peach Festival brings our community together to celebrate. In extraordinary times like these, coming together means something different. Tonight is about supporting our neighbours, recognizing the incredible people responding to this emergency, and doing what we can to help those impacted,” said Peach Festival President Shawna Tinga.

Peach Festival extends a heartfelt thank you to Virginia to Vegas and his team for their willingness to step up on incredibly short notice, and to the Penticton Lakeside Resort & Conference Centre, Skaha Sound, festival volunteers, directors and sponsors for helping make the evening possible.

Admission is by donation, with a minimum $10 contribution. A 50/50 draw will also support the fundraising effort, with proceeds going toward those impacted by the wildfire.

Penticton Peach Festival Cancels Saturday Activities in Support of Emergency Response Efforts

PENTICTON, B.C. – August 8, 2026 – Penticton Peach Festival will cancel all programming activities for Saturday, August 8, as our region continues to respond to the ongoing wildfire situation.

We are currently facing an evolving situation with a level of uncertainty that is beyond our control. What remains firmly within our control is our commitment to putting the safety, unity and best interests of Penticton and our surrounding communities first.

Peach Festival has always been about bringing people together and creating positive moments for our community. In the spirit of PeachFest, it has become clear that today cannot be about continuing as usual. Instead, it is a day to recognize the extraordinary circumstances facing our region, support emergency response efforts, and rally around those who have been impacted or displaced by the current evacuations.

The Peach Festival family will spend today supporting our community and emergency operations wherever we can be of assistance.

We understand the disappointment that comes with cancelling a day of festival activities. PeachFest is an annual tradition that residents and visitors look forward to all year, and these are not decisions we take lightly. We are incredibly grateful for the understanding, flexibility and compassion being shown as our community prioritizes what matters most right now.

We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as circumstances evolve. We all want to see PeachFest continue, but only when doing so can positively contribute to our community and does not interfere with the important work taking place around us.

CANADIAN TIRE FOAM FEST — CANCELLED

Out of respect for the current wildfire situation and the impacts being felt throughout our community, Canadian Tire Foam Fest, scheduled for today from 12–2 PM in Gyro Park, has been cancelled.

With the cancellation of the Bannister Penticton Peach N’ Beach Parade and the need to keep roadways and emergency routes as clear as possible, we feel this is the responsible decision for today.

We know Foam Fest is an event so many families look forward to, and we’re disappointed we won’t be able to bring it to you this year. Our thoughts remain with everyone affected by the fires, as well as the emergency crews and first responders working tirelessly to keep our communities safe.

The Penticton Peach Festival has cancelled the Bannister Penticton Peach n’ Beach Parade on Saturday, August 8, due to the current fire situation. The festival prioritizes community safety and emergency responder's needs. The parade requires significant road closures, which could hinder emergency service's access. While disappointed, the festival believes keeping transportation and emergency response routes open is crucial. All other venues and programming will remain open as planned. The festival will monitor the situation and communicate any changes through social media. Community gatherings provide connection and normalcy during challenging times. The festival aims to offer a welcoming place for families and community members to enjoy free programming Shooting Star Amusements will offer discounted ride wristbands. The festival extends its thoughts to those affected by the fire and the firefighters, emergency personnel, volunteers, and agencies working to protect the community.

We thank Bannister Penticton, parade participants, volunteers, partners, sponsors, and the public for their understanding and support. Cancelling the Bannister Peach n’ Beach Parade was a difficult decision.
