Please read the important update below from the City of Penticton regarding the Emergency Support Services (ESS) Reception Centre currently operating at the Penticton Trade & Convention Centre (PTCC).

Thank you to our community for your support and cooperation during this time. ♥

💛 Thank you for your generosity, Penticton.

At this time, please do not bring donations to the Emergency Support Services (ESS) Reception Centre at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre.

Food, essential services and supplies are currently available for evacuees.

We are also not requesting additional volunteers at this time.

To ensure there is adequate space and access for evacuees, emergency personnel and registered volunteers, we kindly ask the public to avoid visiting the reception centre unless you require assistance or are directly involved in response efforts.

Those wishing to help are encouraged to support local charities and community organizations. Thank you!! 🙏

Today, we join the Penticton VEES family in mourning the loss of longtime Vees fan, 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐱𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥.

Murray was far more than a fan; he was part of the fabric of Vees hockey. Whether he was keeping the team hydrated, getting the crowd on their feet during the beloved "Murray Cam," or simply bringing his infectious energy to every game, he made the SOEC feel like home.

His presence will be deeply missed by our staff, the team, and the countless fans who had the pleasure of sharing game nights with him.

We're sharing one of our favourite Murray memories today - a fun Vees promotion from 2013 that perfectly captured his willingness to do anything for the team and the community.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Murray's family, friends, and everyone in the Vees community. 💙

We're thrilled to celebrate this new partnership with the Penticton VEES as the 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝘆𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸'𝘀 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 will continue to provide 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘 admission for children 12 and under all season long. Here's to creating unforgettable family memories at the SOEC for years to come.
