A portion of the proceeds will support CMHA Ottawa’s Recovery College, a workshop series that helps our clients build the skills we all need to thrive.

💗 Meet our Charitable Partner 💗

Sunday Sober Showdown is a first-of-its-kind non-alcoholic cocktail competition in Ottawa spotlighting the amazing talent in our city. We are bringing together four incredible bartenders from across Ottawa to compete in a head-to-head competition live in front of our audience and judging panel. Competitors will battle it out for bragging rights and a chance to win our grand prize 🏆💸

We chose the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Ottawa Branch as our charitable partner for this event because we want to support a local cause that is dear to our hearts. Sunday Sober Showdown is deeply rooted in the Ottawa hospitality community and it is important for us to give back in a way that directly impacts the people who make this industry thrive. Mental health, alcoholism and addiction challenges are among the most pressing issues facing hospitality professionals, and CMHA provides crucial resources and support to those who need it most. By partnering with them, we hope to not only raise funds for an important cause, but also spark important conversations around wellness, resilience, and community care in an industry that gives so much of itself to others. A portion of proceeds from this event will go directly towards supporting CMHA Ottawa's Recovery College, a peer-to-peer skill-building workshop series focused on well-being and recovery.

With over 16 years of hospitality experience, Éric has mastered the art of creating unforgettable bar experiences. From Union Local 613 to Jabberwocky, he’s known for shaking up cocktails (and the occasional shot of fernet) with creativity and heart. A decorated competitor — including a 2022 Mezcal Agua Santa Stay True win and a 2024 Angostura Global Cocktail Challenge Canadian Finalist title — Éric now brings his expertise to the judging panel of Sunday Sober Showdown.
