Hello all! 👋

After two solo shows we are back on the Sub FM airwaves with not only one, but TWO guest artists live on decks for the monthly rinse.

Airtime is tonight / Tuesday, April 15th at 7PM eastern.

Coleslaw is an Ottawa-based music producer. He is versatile and specializes in dubstep and experimental EDM. Growing up with a love of music and a love for EDM culture, he began making music as a young teen and has DJ'd at drum & bass, dubstep & bass house events in Ottawa at 56 Berlin & City At Night. His deep and energetic songs such as 'night gunk', 'squash em', and 'mechsuit' showcase his love for a strong bass sound and electrifying rhythms.

Be Fee, aka Hoang, is an Ottawa-based electronic music producer and DJ from Vietnam. From student events to corporate events he is known for "bringing music from nowhere to the world."

Both local artists will be playing to the Sub FM crowd, featuring some drum & bass mashups, dubstep and other surprises. As always, Aphotik will be your host.

If you live in Ottawa and like drum & bass just a heads up that our friends over at Guttersnipe Sound Crew are hosting Byward Bass next Saturday.

Their events always feature solid local lineups, cool lighting, energetic dance floors and good vibes!

To end the year strong we wanted to squeeze in ONE more mix feature from a rising Ottawa bass music artist ! 💣

Drawing inspiration from the darker & deeper corners of bass music, ZΣNZO crafts sonic experiences that resonate with both the dance floor and introspective listeners alike. Both in the studio and on the decks, he has dedicated 6+ years to the pursuit of a sound that balances fresh, forward thinking ideas with a generous nod to the OG roots of dubstep.

More recently ZΣNZO has laid down solo sets at Intersection and Midnight Forever Festival as well as duo sets as UR Phrends at a Festival Riverside afterparty and events by Guttersnipe Sound Crew and Camo Sessions. 🔥

You may also remember ZΣNZO as a guest on our October Sub FM radio show, however this time he’s back with a 55 minute dubstep mix for the cloud, featuring an all-star tracklist with music from Caspa, The Widdler, ColtCuts, LabGroup and a couple Z∑NZO IDs / original productions. Our longtime listeners will be pleased to know that this impressive mix is strictly 140bpm, soundsystem vibes so be sure to turn it up loud on a good set of speakers. 🎶

Happy Holidays everyone! After a brief pause from posting we are now thrilled to present our second mix feature of the year from Toronto's dubstep general Archon. 🔥

Archon has been a key figure in Toronto's dubstep scene since 2015. He is known for his exciting performances and for captivating audiences with his dynamic stage presence. He is also a member of 107 Society (go check them out!).

You may have heard his heavier original dubstep productions and dj sets but for this one he went in hard with some top shelf UK grime & dubstep mashups for his Conscious Wave debut. 🎶

Coming in at just over 50 minutes, this mixtape touches on everything from heavy rap bars to soundsystem crowd pleasers to soothing melodic dubstep and everything in between.

After one month off we are super excited to be back and welcome ZΣNZO to the global Sub FM airwaves for a live transmission tonight at 7PM, hosted by Aphotik ! 💜

Emerging from the underground scene, ZΣNZO is a rising dubstep artist with a passion for innovative soundscapes and immersive rhythms. Drawing inspiration from the depths of bass music, ZΣNZO crafts sonic experiences that resonate with both the dancefloor and introspective listeners alike. Keep an eye out for this compelling new voice in the dubstep and bass music community.

For the curious listeners out there, be sure to expect some deep, dark and dangerous dubstep from him and the usual 140 with some surprises from your host.

For our July radio show, we will be welcoming Bundarr to the global Sub FM airwaves for another live broadcast, hosted by Aphotik ! 🎶

For those who don't know him, Bundarr is a producer & dj based in Ottawa. His skills in the studio, behind the decks and involvement with events have gained him a large & loyal following. Both his signed and self-released tracks have broken out on Spotify & Soundcloud and have gotten him notable bookings at Festival Riverside, îLESONIQ afterparties and Midnight Forever Music Festival.

He has also played at countless local Ottawa nights by Undercover & FMG Collective to name a few. His productions and DJ sets frequently vary in genre but have been known to touch on dubstep, drum & bass, house and everything in between.

For those curious about this month's radio show, you can expect many flavours of dubstep & dnb from both, as well as other wonky surprises. 🩵

Happy June everyone! To kick off the 2024 mix series we wanted to present to you all a very special mixtape from Tikal. ✨

Our longtime followers will be pleased to know that this mix digs heavily into the root sounds of Conscious Wave as a platform.

Tikal is a DJ based in France. She is also a founder of Tribal Garden.

With her artist name being linked to her country of origin Guatemala, it is hard not to notice this influence in her music. You can find out more by hitting the link in our bio! 🎶

In this 33 minute mix for Conscious Wave, Tikal constructs a well thought-out tracklist, touching on the darker, minimal side of dubstep best enjoyed on a soundsystem in the forest or on a good pair of headphones. 🎧

For our fourth radio show of 2024, we will be welcoming Niceotope to the global Sub FM airwaves for a live jam, hosted by Aphotik ! 🎶

Hailing from the capital of the north, Niceotope has been sculpting his sound for nearly a decade and he continues to innovate with each release. Known for his genre blending style of cutting edge sound design and organic atmospheric melodies, his music is sure to catch any curious ear. His passion for music is matched by his passion for the community around it. He has been a staple community builder and event promoter in the nation's capital being a founder of the Undercover collective as well as a team lead for Midnight Forever Music Festival.

For those curious, you can expect some forward thinking bass music & experimental deep cuts from Niceotope and the usual deep dubs & dnb from Aphotik. 💜
