Help me pick a new profile photo for my Instagram! Now you're going to need to use your imagination a little because:
1. It's going to be a circle (I've been making a circle with my fingers to get the idea (plus trying them in a Canva template)
2. A lot of the photo will be cropped
3. I'll have to decide how zoomed in I'll want it but keep in mind your IG profile should always be your face so followers who who's behind the account!!
4. A lot of these awesome photos by are so similar but I wanted you to have choices lol.
5. They are in no particular order of my preference. I just chose them from my camera roll and let IG place them into this post

5 choices so tell me which one and if you CAN put the WHY!
Ideally I want it to be a good one of me AND include a bit of the gorgeous decor/ florals by !!

I just had this conversation with one of our Bride’s on Friday about tall candles vs. tall floral centerpieces. Sometimes, in a big room with high ceilings, we want to give some height on the tables since going low with everything just feels weird in these grand spaces.
So usually we alternate, for example, high and low floral centerpieces.

Large centerpieces of fresh florals are gorgeous but also expensive. So one way to offset this is through alternating high and low florals but also high and low candles. Honestly, I always want to see various candle heights!

Also then when you look across the room or your photographer captures the room it all works together to fill the space so perfectly.

Yes it’s a pink tackle box and yes I’ve heard all the jokes 😃
She’s been to war and back this trusty kit and carried different versions of my business inside her too!
From a newbie Planner in 2007 who thought she needed one of everything to the more refined events with pro vendors we have the privilege of working with in 2025.
Come deep dive into my kit, I wanted to tell more stories but even with 3 minute reels I couldn’t get it all in!
Tell me below what you think I’m missing and I’ll tell you if it ever lived in there and got evicted or if I’ll be adding it!

If I had a dollar for every time I heard these wedding myths… I wouldn’t need to plan weddings I would be on a beach with a margarita! 🌴🍹

Let’s be real—some of these myths just won’t die. ‘A first look ruins the aisle moment!’ (Tell that to the couples who got double the emotional reactions AND more time with their guests at cocktail hour). DIY/ no Planner is cheaper … you might want to rethink!

I am not built for cold weather I flourish in heat, humidity and sunshine. Basically on a tropical vacation with a margarita in hand and a body of water near by.
So late spring is when I come alive. Also because Spring means wedding season!
What's are you dreaming of with the warm weather coming?

I am not built for the cold, I flourish in heat, sun, humidity. Basically on a tropical vacation. But I also need a body of water close by since I don't like to overheat too much. So late spring is my fav. I like the warmth and the longer days, the drinks with friends on patios.
I also love the start of wedding season since that too is when I flourish.

A + F’s breathtaking National Arts Centre (NAC) wedding was a dream come true, featuring warm white tones with just a touch of blue throughout the design.

The ceremony took place in the iconic Lantern Room, filled with natural light, while the reception was held in O’Born — one of the most stunning spaces the NAC has to offer. It was a photographer’s paradise with those expansive windows and golden hour views.

Planning the layout was a creative challenge since we had to fit a 10-member band, 150 guests, and a dance floor that barely contained the crowd. The final floor plan was perfect, with a monogrammed dance floor right at the center.

To seamlessly integrate the band, we used beautiful floral boxes along the front of the stage to hide cables and elevate the design.

The tablescape was nothing short of luxurious: double-stacked charger plates, gold cutlery, elegant bread plates, and a mix of long and round tables adorned with candles tucked into stunning floral arrangements.

Our bride’s dreamy sweetheart table offered incredible photo moments — framed by the Château Laurier and a glowing Ottawa skyline as the sun set and the party continued late into the night.

It was truly a magical celebration at the NAC, with every detail designed for a spectacular guest experience.
