Giving is Good. Smart Giving is Great!
The year-end holidays are a time of religious and moral reflection that inspire many people to reach out to those who are in need. Less altruistically, but still just as important, donors need to make their end-of-year giving decisions by December 31 to qualify for a tax deduction in this calendar year.
Ensure that your donations are doing the most good for the causes you care about by asking yourself the following questions.
1.Does the charity match your passion?
2. Do you trust it enough to give without strings attached?
3. Is the charity fiscally responsible, ethical and effective?
4. Does the charity have strong leadership?
