Exhibitors are wanted to showcase their craft and educate our visitors on their style of creative expression and/or culture. Vendors are welcome to sell their wares!

Can you organize several schedules at the same time? Can you squeeze good value out of your last dime of your last dollar? Are you pragmatic and can you think quickly on your feet? Can you be discreet and keep private information to yourself?

If you answered yes to all the above, you have all the makings of an event planner!

Now all you need is some sales experience - because saying 'I'm an event planner' gets you nowhere, but saying 'I can increase your ticket sales or your attendance by 15%' excites your potential clients.

Speaking of clients, get to know them before you meet with them. Be prepared and show initiative. They won't bite. In fact, they'll appreciate your efforts. When I was garnering sponsors for an East Coast Festival, never did I ask a business to become a sponsor; my question was always 'Why aren't you a sponsor of this explosive event of 150,000 people?'.

You not only build your database, you also get to build long lasting relationships with businesses that you can call on again and again and this is, to me, one of the most joyful parts of planning an event.
