Our 2026 Miracle Gala was just that: a night of miracles, with $1,429,940 raised for 60 critical surgical oncology tools requested by our physicians to advance cancer care locally.
As beautifully and meaningfully said by our Miracle Gala Committee Chair Amy Ratcliff last night, “I want you to visualize that number not as a number, but as a piece of oncology equipment that catches cancer earlier. I want you to see it as an endoscopy procedure that gives a loved one answers before it's too late. I want you to see it as a mother sitting in a Victoria hospital, receiving her treatment surrounded by her family, instead of hours away from home. I want you to see it as a friend and as a sister, like Shaveeta, who heard the word "cancer" and then heard something else just as powerful from Dr. Sepehr Khorasani: we can provide the best and latest in surgical care; you are in good hands. Because that is exactly what we are doing.”
To the philanthropists, caregivers, speakers, sponsors, auction donors, committee members, volunteers, Board and team members who made last night what it was~a night of miracles~a most profound and sincere thank you.
