All jokes, but also, as your wedding planner, who’s worked tireless with you and your photo team on this list and timeline, not really 😭

I always ask before hand if you’re okay with more photos happening than what’s on the shot list (meemaw always wants to add people lol) and if you’re cool with it, we’re cool with it! If you’re not cool with it? I have no problem telling your guests we ain’t got that kind of time 🤷

POV: you just got engaged.
You’re suddenly knee-deep in decisions, timelines, opinions. You wonder if you are choosing the right things, if your vision will translate, if it will all come together the way you imagined.

Now pause that thought. Let’s reframe it.

POV: it is your wedding day.
You’re married to your best friend. Your favourite people are gathered in one place, probably for the only time during your lifetime, all there for you, celebrating you. This is the moment that matters.

Not the thread count of the napkins.
Not the angle of the cutlery.
Not the Pantone colour of the year.

This.
Your people.
Your love.
Your day.

Yes, the details shape the experience. They support the story. But they are not the story itself.

Moments like this are why I do what I do. The joy, the anticipation, the kind of love you feel before you even walk down the aisle. That is the magic.

And it’s all worth it in the end. I promise 🤍

This time last year, we were at the stunning , wrapping up Shanice and Nick’s rehearsal dinner, with the nervous excitement in the air as their New Year’s Eve wedding was just hours away.

One year later, I’m reflecting on a year filled with beautiful love stories, incredible couples, and unforgettable memories created with each and every one of you who trusted my small business to be part of your biggest day. Just like Nick and Shanice’s wedding, every couple I work with is a reflection of why I love this industry so deeply and why I pour my heart into bringing wedding days to life. I can only say yes to so many weddings a year, but just know that when I do get signed on to your team, it means something to me, and I’d never otherwise agree to work on someone’s big day that I don’t totally and completely vibe with! Just like you should never ever sign on a vendor that YOU don’t completely vibe with!

It’s been a year of growth, gratitude, and truly incredible things, and I have some very exciting moments to share with you in the next 365 days.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you endlessly. I cannot wait to see what we create together in 2026. Happy New Year from my family to yours 🤍

There is something unmistakably elegant about a wedding crew who prepare with intention. The morning feels calm. The details feel considered. The photos feel elevated.

Let’s talk about the folks in suits. A few essentials make all the difference the morning of:

1 - Bring an extra button down shirt so you can change if (read:when) the first gets sweaty.

2 - Pack a spare set of cufflinks. It sucks but I’ve seen it soooo many times when the first pair either weren’t packed or have gone missing in the frenzy of the morning of.

3 - Iron the suit the night before and hang it so it stays crisp. (Same applies for anyone else wearing a suit). I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve been ironing someone’s suit minutes before we need to leave! Plz don’t do that to me lol

4 - Break in your shoes ahead of time so you move comfortably. Take it from someone with a pretty impressive shoe collection , there’s nothing worse than being in a pair that are KILLING your feet all night long.

5 - Learn how to tie your tie or bow tie before the wedding day and never leave this for the morning of. I can seriously tie anything in any knot you ask at this point, but I’m not always there to do so when you’re trying to hurry out the door for first look or ceremony!

6 - Make sure one member of the party or family member knows how to pin a boutonniere properly. Again, myself or your photographer are probably well versed in this, but it just saves time and gets some lovely photos of someone else doing it for you.

7 - Keep a small bottle of cologne nearby for a final touch before portraits. And just like the bridal suite tips I’ve given, I find it’s nice to assign someone to grab your cologne + deodorant to bring to reception space to tuck somewhere safe when you inevitably need a touch up later in the evening. Put it near your second shirt, you WILL be needing it :)

In the end, it is the quiet preparation that shapes the mood. When the wedding party moves with intention, the entire day feels sharper, calmer, and beautifully composed.

The end of another beautiful season.
Only two more weddings to go, both here at the stunning Belvédère, and I can’t help but ask… where does the time go?

Each year as I wrap up my season, I find myself reflecting on every story that unfolded, the couples who trusted me with their day, and the incredible vendors who have become such special friends and colleagues.

The off-season always feels a little bittersweet. I’m grateful for the slower pace (if you can call desk season a break 😅) but already missing the magic of wedding days.

To my 2025 couples, thank you from the bottom of my heart ♥️

And to my 2026 couples, I can’t wait to create with you. We’re already 75% booked, and it’s only October!

The moment I saw the first photos of this gown, I was obsessed. Fashion has always been a quiet obsession, and bridal couture is where art meets emotion. Choosing your wedding gown is more than a decision; it is a moment of becoming, something we’ve all imagined since childhood. Getting to live in that world every day feels like a dream I never woke up from ♥️

As my bride said best, “She belongs in a museum.” 🙂‍↕️

Something I’ve been leaning into lately as a vendor who doesn’t have many many years under their belt, but also knows this is exactly where I’m meant to be: it’s okay to be new. It’s okay to learn. And it’s okay to carve out your own path and figure out what feels true to you, so it can also feel authentic to your clients. It’s so easy to lean into the online fodder of how to run your business, how to attract clients, and just how to exist, but at what point do we as a creative lean so far away from our own process, and into someone else’s, that is no longer feels like it’s ours? Isn’t that why we started our own business in the first place?

I’ve been so so so lucky to work alongside other vendors who are welcoming, offer advice, and are just generally stoked for you to be around. To those wedding vendor veterans that have made a newer vendor feel that way, you’re the best. Seriously ♥️

And at the end of the day, the best weddings happen when your vendor team truly jives together. That harmony behind the scenes is what makes the day feel effortless and unforgettable for you as the couple!

So to the couples reading this post; as you plan your wedding, choose the people who feel right for you, who honour your vision, and who lift each other up along the way. The right team will not only bring your day to life, they’ll make the journey just as beautiful as the celebration itself!

And to any other vendors who have either just started, or are only a few years in, like me, you’re not alone, and you’re doing great, you just have to find your people ♥️
