📊 An interesting shift we’re seeing in Canada right now.
There’s a lot of conversation lately around the idea that business events here are starting to return more than they cost, and it tracks with what we’re seeing on the ground.
When groups come to Canada, they’re not just booking a destination. They’re tapping into ecosystems, whether that’s life sciences in Montréal, tech in Toronto, or natural resources and innovation hubs across the country. That access changes the dynamic of an event. The content gets stronger, the speakers are more relevant, and the conversations go further than just what happens on stage.
It also explains why some programs are getting more ambitious. There’s a real intention behind them, not just to gather people, but to create something that has a longer impact (partnerships, research connections, business opportunities…).
We’re seeing more planners think this way:
not just “where should we host this?”
but “what will this event actually create?”
