Tips to help you maintain the longivity of your gel manicure.

1. Avoid excessive exposure to water. While gel polish is more durable than regular polish, its still susceptible to liting if exposed to excessive moisture. Try to avoid having your hands in water for long periods of time, especially in the first 24 hours after your manicure.

2. Wear gloves when doing household chores like washing dishes or cleaning to prevent water from getting under the polish and causing it to lift.

3. Avoid harsh chemicals.
Harsh chemicals, such as those found in cleaning products, can weaken gel polish and cause it to chip or peel.
Always wear protective gloves when handling strong chemicals, and avoid using acetone-based products on your nails.

4. Regularly apply cuticle oil.
Keeping your cuticles and nails hydrated is vital for maintaining the integrity of your gel manicure. Dry nails are more prone to breaking and chipping, so apply cuticle oil daily to keep nails nourished.

5. Be mindful of heat.
Exposing your nails to extreme heat, ie. saunas & hot tubs, can cause gel polish to soften and peel.
