Sophie and I go way back. She’s one of my oldest friends. We’ve done life together for a long time.

But that’s not why we work together.

I work with Sophie because she is truly one of the most amazing people I know. She’s warm, grounded, thoughtful… and people instantly feel comfortable around her. She has this natural way of connecting that you just can’t teach.

And somewhere along the way, it also became very clear… she’s an incredibly talented storyteller and officiant. The way she tells a couple’s story feels so natural, so personal, and so them.

I’m honestly just so proud to share this work with her.

When I started imagining the Wedding Edit, I knew the space had to feel special. Intimate, beautiful, and the kind of place where meaningful moments can really be felt.

That’s why I’m so excited that Parlour will be hosting this experience.

Parlour is one of those spaces that instantly makes you feel welcome. It’s elegant without being over the top, warm, thoughtfully designed, and perfect for bringing people together.

Each couple will exchange their vows in this beautiful setting, followed by a sparkling toast and a short micro reception so they can soak in those first just-married moments with their loved ones.
I truly couldn’t imagine a better place for this.

Carley has such a beautiful, natural style and an incredible ability to capture moments as they truly happen... the laughter, the quiet glances, the just-married excitement. Her work feels effortless and genuine, which is exactly the feeling we want couples to experience during this day.

Carley will be one of the photographers capturing the Wedding Edit experience, ensuring that each couple has time and space for those relaxed, candid portraits as they soak in those first moments of being newly married.

I’m truly delighted that Alanna Brown will be joining us as the live musician for The Wedding Edit.

I had the pleasure of working with Alanna at a wedding some time ago and was immediately drawn to the warmth and elegance she brings through her music. Her voice creates such a beautiful atmosphere — the kind that gently fills a space and makes those meaningful moments feel even more special.

There is something truly timeless about live music during a ceremony, and Alanna’s presence will add a layer of emotion and grace to each celebration. I feel very fortunate to have her as part of this wonderful group of talented creatives bringing this experience to life. ✨

The Wedding Edit will take place on September 10 at Parlour, with just six couples taking part in this intimate and thoughtfully curated experience.

PROCESSIONAL 101
(aka: who walks when… and where do I stand 😅)

One of the most common questions I get from couples planning their weddings is:
“who walks in first?”

Short answer: usually, your officiant.
Long answer: it depends on the feel you want for your ceremony.

Traditionally, the officiant enters first and waits at the front. It gives the ceremony a clear starting point and lets everyone know, okay, this is happening. But modern ceremonies are flexible, and there’s room to make it feel very you.

If you’re chatting with your officiant, here are a few great questions to ask about the processional:

• Do you enter first, or from the side?
• Does the music change for different people walking in?
• Where does everyone stand once they arrive?
• How slow should we actually walk? (Hint: slower than you think.)
• How do we make this work best for photos?
• Does the processional change for outdoor wedding ceremonies?

The processional sets the tone for your entire ceremony — romantic, relaxed, playful, classic, or somewhere in between. When it’s well planned, you’re not worrying about logistics when the music starts. You’re present. You’re breathing. You’re ready to get married.

That’s part of my role as a wedding officiant: making sure you don’t have to think about who goes next — you just get to enjoy the moment.
