Big thank you to my friends, family, and clients for getting me through the first year with Fire Hall Flowery & Garden!
A year of growth, learning, and maybe even a few tears! I'm blessed in every avenue of my life and thankful and proud of my team here at Flowery for their hard work, patience, and perseverance. The Flowerys' success has been a team effort from the early months of pre-opening planning until now. Kimberley, Hanne, Diana, Terra, Evelyn and Mr. Jake...
I have been adamant about the stores' direction being organic and not forced. See where the community takes us. See what the community wants from their local florist. After all, we are here to serve our community.
Now that I have my first year under my belt I can't help but feel relieved. Having a baseline to compare sales from last season helps alleviate the need for a crystal ball during ordering. Balancing a fresh perishable item in stock can be tricky. So many variables to consider. So many out of our control.
Going into my second year the goals have slightly shifted. You will see us in the community more often during Farmers' Markets and Floral Classes & events. We have committed to the Downtown Farmers Market until October. We have partnered with Leacock Museum to conduct floral-making sessions. If anyone is interested in participating in these or hosting a session for you and a group...please give us a call!
