In the spirit of community, we are grateful to be back with some great chefs & personalities for this wonderful fundraiser.
This annual event is for Sickle Cell Awareness- a tricky little bu**er that’s affected my community and immediate family.

My Pops is my gracious teammate again this year. He has battled bouts with this disorder over the years and so we do our part.

Spending time with your parents as an adult is simultaneously a flex, hilarious & a blessing.
Should be a swell time!

This IS the man who introduced me to Hip-Hop and the so-called ‘urban’ music genre in the early days.
By the time our family got that satellite 📡 with the free 90 days trial my eyes were affixed to MTV & the BET programs!! Yooooo 🔥🔥

We grew up SeventhDay Adventist- if you know, you know. So we used to tief & watch, even with no volume sometimes. A certain amount of punishment was issued on occasion because Pops DeWar deemed those material secular, he eventually password EVERYTHING except for news and nature channels lol😖😫😅

FastFwd many years and I finally get to meet Tony Young AKA Master T. at a Black History Month event and hear his trailblazing experience. Big Up for having us onboard for refreshments.

Sometimes I think the universe has a sense of humour in how things unfold & connect.

Sharing a quick update for ALL the lovely ppl that participated in our CaribChristmas drive.
Today we presented Rollington Town S.D.A. church with a $1000.00 CAD cheque from Soulyve Inc. - courtesy of us all.

They will use those funds for their continued outreach on the west, specifically for building & infrastructure.

We purchased some stationary, batteries, extension cords, personal care items with the cash donations. To be distributed through the local primary school to their families.

Thanks again to errbody, and to our gracious host Perry Joseph for the venue. Also, we should definitely have another show there soon, right?

My Pops sorted out this year batch of Soulyve Sorrel so spectacularly! Sometimes I’ve tried to infuse & ‘chef up’ his recipe in the spirit of modern, culinary, fusion or whatever…
He reminded me that the Ol’ time ting, is moretimes the best ting & not to be tampered with.
We got the best batch yet in the house $25/lt
