Heads up, Pickleball & Parent & Tot participants! 🏓👶

Due to ongoing renovations at the Community Hall, we’re pressing pause on our Indoor Pickleball and Parent & Tot Drop-In programs until the project is complete.

The good news? The weather is still beautiful! ☀️ We encourage our pickleball community to keep enjoying the outdoor courts for as long as the season allows.

And don’t forget, all playgrounds remain open and operational, including:
🌳 Rotary Beach Park Playground
🌳 Lions Park Playground
🌳 Community Park Tykes Playground
🌳 Kinsmen Park Playground

We’ll share updates as soon as we have a return date. In the meantime, keep an eye on this page and our website for the latest information.

🚴‍♀️ We're in the final stretch! 🚴‍♂️

The community has helped bring the Lions Park Pump Track project closer than ever, and we're incredibly grateful for the support we've received so far.

There is still time to be part of this exciting legacy project! Donations are still being accepted, and a limited number of donor recognition opportunities remain available:

✅ 1 Bench Sponsorship - $10,000
✅ 3 Logo Placements on the Recognition Sign - $5,000 each
✅ Engraved Bricks - $500 and $250 options available

Every contribution helps move this project forward. Any funds raised beyond construction costs will be reinvested into Lions Park amenities and signage, creating an even better space for our community to enjoy.

Thank you to the families who participated in today’s Turkey Toss Disc Golf event! It was a beauty day on the course.

Congrats to the Findlaters of West Kelowna with the best score over 2 rounds - they won a $50 gift card from Oliver Eats Ltd.

Second place to the Glendinnings of Osoyoos and third place to the Schnieders from Oliver. Jake was also the “Ring of Fire” winner and is thrilled with his new backpack from Visit Oliver

Spirit prize went to the Reem family from Oliver who are new to disc golf and played their first 9-hole game today!

Hope to see everyone out on the course this fall enjoying the park.

The shade sail originally installed in 2021 in Lions Park is being relocated to Kinsmen Park in the the coming days.

Staff hope this move to a more visible park location will decrease the occurrence of vandalism to the sail and serve the community by providing much-needed shade for families visiting the Spray Park. Options for additional shade at the skatepark will be reviewed in the new year.

Please respect crews working on site in both locations and be safe by staying clear of work areas and equipment.

🏀 7 Spots Left! Join the Warriors of Truth 4x4 Youth Basketball Tournament! 🧡

There's still time to register for this exciting National Day for Truth and Reconciliation event!

Youth ages 7-14 of all skill levels are invited to take part in a fun day of basketball, friendship, and community connection. Participants will be placed onto teams of four, with each team joined by a local junior hockey player as a teammate for the day!

✅ 3 guaranteed games
✅ Meet new friends and teammates
✅ All genders welcome

📍 Participants are asked to meet at the OIB "Under the Hat" before walking together to the outdoor basketball courts.

🌳 Phase Two of Invasive Tree Removal Begins This Weekend

The Okanagan and Similkameen Invasive Species Society (OAASIS) will be working in Oliver Community Park on Sunday, September 27 and Monday, September 28 to remove invasive Siberian Elm trees from the hillside behind the pickleball courts and below the hospital.

This is the second year of a three-year initiative aimed at reducing invasive tree species and improving the long-term health of the park's natural environment.

⚠️ Please respect all safety signage and keep well clear of the active work area while crews are on site.
