The Cape Breton Exhibition CB's original Summer Tradition - A fair celebrating our agricultural heritage and community.

The Cape Breton Exhibition is an annual fair celebrating the agriculture industry in Cape Breton. 2024 Dates are August 13-17th. The fair features livestock exhibits, light horse competitions, entertainment, and midway attractions. It has been enjoyed by the local community of North Sydney for over a 100 years.

The update every horse person has been waiting to see!

As the framing continues for the next section of stalls, the wood panels have now been installed in the main aisle stalls — and they are officially finished!

It’s incredibly exciting to finally start envisioning horses being housed here in the coming weeks. Seeing everything come together step by step makes all the hard work worthwhile.

While the stalls are coming together, the grandstands are now gone as well! Stay tuned for the installation of the new ones.

Another exciting update to share!

Once the storage was moved out, our amazing volunteers worked hard coordinating vehicles and trailers while progress continued inside the barn. During all the activity, the framing for the stalls in the main alleyway really started coming together.

As soon as the storage was cleared, Timberlake was back the very next day, and the next section of the roof in our main arena is now being replaced.

Step by step, we’re making great progress, thank you to everyone helping make it happen!

It’s been a busy few weeks around the grounds, and it’s time we caught everyone up on what’s been happening!

Our first update - the metal frames and lumber for our stalls arrived and although the stalls are already starting to come together, we think you need to see the process progress as we have, over the last few weeks!

It was a horse persons dream seeing these arrive.
