My name is Vivian Lyttle and I live in Hamilton, Ontario with my husband Tristan. Most of all, I love to plan events. Bridal Shower? Birthday Tea Party? You name it, I'm in! Being part of your special day would make me so very happy. I believe there is nothing better than gathering your loved ones (or coworkers, clients, your little one's BFFs) and creating a celebration they'll never forget. The 2020 wedding season was definitely a wild ride. ⁣
⁣
Postponements, elopements, emotional phone calls. A mixture of tough conversations and beautiful, joyful celebrations.⁣
⁣
My greatest takeaway this season was the power of connection and the way a community can come together when things get hard. ⁣
⁣
For my couples, this meant their friends and family supporting them in their decisions and being there for them through it all. It meant planning and re-planning intimate celebrations and being blown away by how beautiful a wedding can be - no matter the size. ⁣
⁣
For me, it meant fully appreciating the support and kindness of my little community of wedding vendor friends:⁣
⁣
Like when I had a Covid scare in September and , & stepped up for me to make my client's dream day come true when I couldn't be there myself. The most stressful time in my career as a wedding planner, made less frightening by the support of these amazing women who I cannot thank enough. ⁣
⁣
Or when things were at their toughest and an incredible team came together to create Elope in the Vines magic for 10 special couples. Oh hi dream team! ⁣
⁣
There are so many more examples of kindness in 2020 - I'm grateful to be surrounded by wonderful clients and colleagues. ⁣
⁣
This Friday night I raise a glass to all of my amazing couples who weathered this storm, to the wedding vendors who are still navigating it and to my kind husband and family for believing in this crazy dream of mine. ⁣
