June is the month that celebrates the rich history, culture, and significant contributions of Italian Canadians to Canada. We were honoured today at City Hall to raise both the Italian and Canadian flags in celebration.
Our President Andrew Vergalito opened the ceremony with his address to the guests in attendance, followed by Mayor , Member of Parliament and guest of honour and Italian Ambassador to Canada H. E. Alessandro Cattaneo.
Accordian performance throughout the hour long event celebrating Italian heritage month was Ralph Defazio.

Join us at City Hall tomorrow as we celebrate Italian Heritage Month with the raising of the Italian flag at 1:30 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to attend this special ceremony as we recognize and celebrate the many contributions of the Italian community to City of Niagara Falls, Canada - Government and Canada.

The celebration will continue into the evening as the Falls are illuminated in the colours of the Italian flag from 10:15 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
